Rap About Nothing: Hip Hop Chat Thread

I mentioned this in my group msg, but the more we stream the more all microwave all the music becomes. I can’t imagine having a full music library like I do now as a kid, used to have to work beg borrow steal to get cds coming up. Made u appreciate what u had and listened to more than u do now. Just my 2 cents

Word. There's something intangible that we're losing with the music...despite the accessibility.

The "album" really is about to die at this rate. There's no point. Might as well take the Hernandez approach and just drop singles.

Wait.

Is Waka suggesting Jay send a hit out on Zimmerman?

Funny reading these Waka comments, I remember when he went on that press run a few years ago and had cats fooled.

It was a whole lot of “Waka always been intelligent,” “Waka woke now” etc

This just came on the shuffle :hat

RIP Phat. Ain’t Eldarado Red out and beat the body? Crazy story

Man...Jay knows what he's doing

The fact that we're even talking about this is incredible. We've seen the SAME exact words on Black Twitter and everywhere else 4390890834 times this year alone. Jay-Z says it...and time stops

****** everywhere went :wow: as if he had just dropped some science or some ****.

But it goes to show how us and his peers view him. He's damn near like the Keyser Soze of rap. I laughed when you ****** tried to fake like "Jay don't have no influence down south" when he dropped the money phone line...and then some of the MAIN influencers from down South felt the need to respond publicly. Whatever he says, we react immediately.

Damn so you have JBA for younger ballers, NBA for primetime, and BIG3 for post retirement etc

2 out of those 3 are black owned :smokin
Now if we could only get this in other sports:
Speaking of black owned basketball: I wish my frat bros could get these groups to use their app. They were on Shark Tank a while back pitching their stuff.
