Rap About Nothing: Hip Hop Chat Thread

Drake must still owe QC Pee for Versace putting City Girls on his album .

The women gon love that ****. Grab a Wall when that comes on.

Man I thought _'s was joking about him having the city girls on his album

Now his fans gon say "6 god made the city girls career!"

8 Out of 10 is hard. So is Sandra’s Rose. The issue for me with Drake is Drake.

Production is always good, he just hasn’t seemed motivated. That and taking little pot shots and literally sidestepping behind J Prince and saying ‘you’re lucky I’m a nice guy’ is enough. Ima sit with this, but I have a hard time listening to him talk about being a tough guy.

I really can't explain...but I have no real desire to hear this guy rap at all anymore

I'm on my 3/4th listen...and I'm pretty much not listening to side A at ALL. Like...legit not even one song.

I'm disliking the "Rap" side more and more as I listen.

I don't think i've really checked for Drake like that, but Take Care and Nothing was the same was cool, probably cuz of the **** I was going through. Other than that dude always been kinda plain to me. I respect his run in popular music though.

This **** will be forgotten in a couple months.

Singles + a couple more tracks (8 out of 10, emotionless, peak, blue tint kinda) is basically it for me. Maybe a couple more in time but for now this is just aight.

Hearing the ratchet happy birthday hook at birthday parties bars and clubs is gonna be corny as **** :smh:

I’m proud of Cube man. This Big3 thing is going to change the basketball landscape, even if it’s just proving that another league could work and be profitable.

Gotta watch these live.:pimp:

Facts!

Also, the Big3 is low key involved in that Trump-Russia/UAE/Qatar **** :lol.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/amph...ube-steve-bannon-qatar-allegations-explained/

One of the Qatari investors that Trump sold the country to invested in the Big3.

The beginning of this article is hilarious.

One can imagine a hypothetical conversation in 1988 or so in which you get to be the one to tell then-rapper Ice Cube about his future.

Your anti-establishment streak will be rewarded when you become part of an investigation into a sitting American president,” you might tell the young rapper, before giving him the downside: It’s a function of a failed investment with possible links to the Qatari government in the three-man professional basketball league he founds, and one of the people behind that investment might also have overlapped in questionable ways with staff for the president. Who, by the way, is Donald Trump.

Remarkably, that summary does not even do the story justice.

I mentioned this in my group msg, but the more we stream the more all microwave all the music becomes. I can’t imagine having a full music library like I do now as a kid, used to have to work beg borrow steal to get cds coming up. Made u appreciate what u had and listened to more than u do now. Just my 2 cents
