Drake the type of dude to take his ball home if he ain’t get picked for a game.Imagine losing a fight and coming back a month later to taunt the ***** who beat you up about being lucky you're a nice guy now
Man...I heard 21 Savage pretty much say the exact opposite when he spoke about it As a matter of fact I think he referred to Jay as a god.
All of this accurate. Especially how the south fw the west HARDI mean I ain't gonna say he wrong, he def get his love and respect as a Mt Rushmore type figure but idk man. 21 lowkey a smart dude too tho lol. A few years ago when Thug said he respect Jay but his generation dont listen to him like that he caught flack but a lot of _'s agreed with him. Boosie like 10 years older than 21, if anything you would think his generation would be the ones to **** with Jay more. That _ was 10 when the black album dropped
I wasn’t even really tryna knock Hov tho, it’s moreso a cultural thing. Its hard to explain if you didn't experience it but the south has really just kinda ****ed with the West Coast tough and its been like that for a min. Juve said he was the only one at Cash Money that knew any East Coast ****. No Limit, Rap A Lot, etc was all heavily West Coast connected and influenced. Its just a stronger cultural connection there vs the East.
That’s why you can’t tell a _ from the south **** about Pac Biggie get his love too of course but the love for Pac in the south is on some different ****
Funny reading these Waka comments, I remember when he went on that press run a few years ago and had cats fooled.
It was a whole lot of “Waka always been intelligent,” “Waka woke now” etc
At least Waka tries
Jay influence really not that crazy in the south tho tbh, what Boosie was saying is mostly correct. _’s got respect for him as far as being a boss etc but that’s kinda it. Maybe for the older dudes.
Future, Boosie etc are like the OG/“bosses” that are looked up to and mimicked in certain ways by the current gen of the south so i think they specifically felt a certain way about it
I've realized that Drake has been peaked he is what he is at this point, same fake underdog/everyone is against me vibe, same i ****ed up i'm so sad i lost a good one vibe, same let me give the **** some quotable lines... and a handful of great songs where he's really spitting. His **** like MANY artist in this era just doesn't resonate with me like before. It's one thing to keep the same content, a lot of rappers do.... but it's like it's constantly repackaged in the same form in lesser value. Then you add in 25 songs & it's a no for me dog
Rap Game James Harden. Putting up historical numbers, has moments.....but you know he ain’t “THAT”.
