QB THREAD - 2x quarterbacky award winner: Lamar Jackson

Russ is the goods man. Dude don't put up the flashy stats cause he often doesn't need to. But you watch the dude play and you see him making winning plays constantly. He ain't better than Luck but there isn't anything wrong with that. Dude is going to be great for years.

Tanne is a lot like Russ, only taller. And not as good.

I have zero issue with Russ himself. He's great.

His fans, however, are dumb as ****.

Russ in Miami wouldn't work out tho. Just like Tanne "isn't working out". Plays good, great sometimes even, but everything is on Ryan. Terrible coaching, terrible situational team teaching, defenders jumping 5 yard routes on 3rd and 20, only to be duped on pump fakes. Pushing ball carriers outta bounds when you need to tackle them inbounds. Not running the ball nearly enough. Terribly prepared by **** coaches.

Put all that on Russ, he isn't gonna win anything, same as Ryan isn't winning anything.

I don't know if Ryan wins a Super Bowl in Seattle, but he'd be coached better, have an elite running back, and could win games with 14 points being plenty. He doesn't have anything close to that in Miami.

Just saw something on Twitter.
Colt RB's have 1,200 yards rushing this year. Russ has almost 900 by himself. :lol :{

Russ looked damn good yesterday. Had full control of the game. Has pretty good touch on those deep throws.

Luck looked terrible, but the colts as a whole weren't playing at all :lol fake punt on the first drive and you knew where that game was going

Rodgers doesn't have DeMarco Murray carrying that offense the first half of the year, or that OLine.

Romo has had a great year, but he was never in the running for well over half the year. He's gotten hot, and helped win the division, but Murray has been their "star" with the Oline the driving force all season long.

After the Seattle game, Rodgers has been non stop the best player in the league, until the Buffalo game, and Jordy helped with that a bit. :lol

Yeah that same running game and o-line that gave him about 2.7 YPC to work with the last 3 out of 4 games.

Ya'll love to talk about a player who gets hot over a 3-4 game stretch (Ben, Rivers, Rodgers, etc...) Romo's stat line in December...

61-77
688 yards
10 touchdowns
0 INTs
Highest Comp % game for any QB this season.

Ok, and? 3 games? You want to give Romo the MVP over the last 3 games? :lol :lol :lol

He had his worst game of the year on Thanksgiving, and now you in here campaigning for MVP, when Rodgers has been ballin since Week 2?

Look at Aaron's 12 game stretch......34 TD's, 2 INT's. 10-2 record. Lowest rating in that stretch was 88.8 to one of the top defenses in the NFL. (Detroit)

Romo last 3 games vs the Bears, Eagles, and Colts. The 18th, 25th, and 31 st pass defenses in the NFL.

12 games > 3 games. You should know that dude. I'm sorry.

Yeah cause that's what I said. SMH. The 1st stats I posted are for the "season", not a 3-4 game stretch and you discredit those numbers because of Murray?

Rivers gets off to a great start? MVP
Ben throws for records in a couple games? Toss him in the race
Luck gets off on bottom tier teams? "Young Gawd"
Romo has a terrific month? "It's only 3 games!!...."

He looked horrible against the Lions, Saints, and the Bills. All after "Week 2".

Trash Romo's last 3 games but Rodgers has wins in that 12 game stretch coming against:

Jets
Bears 2x
Min 2x
Bucs
Falcons

Hell of a "stretch" by Rodgers...

The stats don't lie chief. Romo statistically has a better season than Rodgers. No matter what "12 game stretch" you choose to bring up. LOL.

To see him not mentioned as a MVP candidate is pretty pathetic.

Some good points overall.  I do think both Rodgers and Romo are legitimate MVP candidates.  There's no question that Rodgers has beat up on some bad defenses during that stretch.

Yeah., who said Romo wasn't in the convo?

I said he's not the MVP over Rodgers, but I didn't say he's 18th or some ****. Damn man. :lol

Bottom line, Murray (or more specifically, the Oline) has been the Dallas MVP all year. You disputing that is on you, not us.

I mean, I can do that too.

Romo's "run" this year

Giants x 2
Colts
Stl
Jax

17,18, 19, and 20th ranked pass Defenses.

Then we have Washington 22nd x 2
Houston 24th
Philly 25th x 2
New Orleans 29th
Chicago 31st

The other 3 games are San Fran, the 3 INT game, Tennesse when he threw for 176 yards, and Seattle, which is a great W. 250 and 2 Tubs. Which Murray also had 115 on the ground a touchdown to seal the game.

I mean, yeah, Romo has feasted on the bottom half of the NFL's pass defenses in the league.

Shoes, the bottom line is that you are never going to see multiple MVP candidates from the same team.  That just makes no sense on any level.  Romo is having an unbelievable season, and is definitely getting more love than you are claiming he is getting.

Its just funny because, knowing how you operate, if Romo was getting more MVP candidate talk around here, you would start b****ing that DeMarco Murray wasn't getting enough love.

Cant win with you.

If only the "young HOF" Andrew Luck didn't look so pathetic and put up a better fight so we all could have seen Romo throw for 6 TDs and stat pad like Rodgers and the rest could do.

*shrugs*...Can't win on this board I guess....
