My connect sent out my Deadpool, Bats, DeathTrooper and Jedha Patrol Stormtrooper all on the same day last week and other than the Stormtrooper who I got the other day, they still say in transit. Not even in customs yet

I've been randomnly picking out Figures that I'm making into my 13 dark prime counsel, Black Zarak will be the mini-con figure in my mind, providing half the fortress and space transport for the group. while that Trypticon will also provide the other half of the fortress and space transport

That FOC Trypticon is AMAZE I saw the black zarack at tfcon to and that mold by maketoys is so dope make sure to post picks when u can and not deployed broski.

You already know, Mike. I lost focus on my TF collection over the years but always picked up an MP here and there, along with the 3rd Party Combiners but with Deadpool and Batman being the only two Hot Toys I planned on getting this 4th Quarter, I just made it rain on filling in the holes of my MP collection. Got a lot of heat coming in. I could tell that a majority of my IG followers aren't into them though because my TF posts get the least amount of like
You're actually part of the reason I kept going with the 3P Combiners, but you're about to get me in trouble for wanting to collect these videogame versions. Game was definitely Downloaded the latest game for free on the PS store and it doesn't even compare. Why couldn't they do another one of those games instead?

Im wondering if Shadow Tengu can be held by ordin, its only 4in in bot mode so the gun mode cant be that big, isnt the put together Shockwave for Warbatron Brut like 4in?

This is pretty much an out of box build..except i painted the camera on the head..the main camera in the chest..and the sensor unit on the shield with tamiya clear green, instead of the stickers.

nice man, although I see some nubs...any updates? If you haven't done it yet, it should be decals first, followed by a gloss coat, then the panel lines, and then a flat top coat. By the way how did you paint the clear green? I'm assuming you hand-brushed it? Why didn't you try to tackle the eyes as well?

I would think it is very easy to find stores that sell Gunpla in the East since that's Bandai's "target demographic". So they were close to JPY box price huh? The crazy thing is, even in Japan Gunpla is so abundant, that stores sell below box price all the time.

I'm not sure what type of paint that is, since it's Tamiya I will assume it is acrylic. A lot of modelers who paint their kits like to do their panel lines with a technique called a "wash" using enamel paint. In order to do a proper panel wash, there must be a gloss coat on the kit first. The gloss coat helps the paint run through the lines better due to capillary action. By the way, did you use a q tip to clean up excess paint?

I have the panel line pens. Is that good enough? I want to make sure my next build is legit. Just need to put time aside to complete it.

the panel line pens are decent enough for OOB builders, I have them myself.

^afaik the wash is thinner + paint, the product i used is the same. its just premixed by tamiya, you just pay more for the convenience.

for clean up yeah i used qtips. didnt bother gloss painting it pre panel lining though.

as for kit prices, yeah japan has the lowest prices, but for the rest of asia they arent "cheap". in manila, kits can be twice as expensive. singapore gets close to box price or box price. kuala lumpur is same with singapore. bangkok can get can be like manila prices too. thats why i was surprised at that store in indonesia, i was expecting them to have manila prices, but they were that cheap. and the store was small too.

yes a wash is just paint and thinner with a watery consistency. I didn't know that about prices in other countries...I assumed it was cheap all around Asia

Yeah, the material is just too light to drape properly. This was the best I could get it, myself.

I just tried to get it as flat as I can and let gravity handle the rest. And I just left the strap hanging there, does it even have a purpose?

You had me curious now, so I checked the 501st checklist for her costume and it says

A 1-1.5” strap, approximately 10-12” long, extends from the lower portion of the fourth/lower pocket toward the front of the cape.

I guess there's no real use for it other than aesthetics

Yeah, sold it awhile back. It really was a good figure but her and Finn just looked so off next to each other and I really only wanted the BB-8. Now that I think about it, it would've been a nice display piece to have Jakku Rey with her mask on but I'll be good with the Resistance version.

On another note, I've taken a ton of photos of the Deathtrooper Specialist. And I dumped them onto my FB page until I can get the video up later this week. It's definitely in my top figures of 2016.
