Post Your New Eras*59-Fiftys*etc... VOL. INFINITY NOW W/ Henz0/Thunderchunk/Icy's FAQ ON PG.1

Mariner$ today. I dropped this one over the Summer, inspired by a Jay-Z lyric about trying to get them “M’s” 😂. From there I used all the colors of the $100 dollar bill and “Money Mariners” was born.

What u mean mid tier? Like not panicy/hyped enough or sumn?
Precisely, it's not like a Bison/Kitty/Cubs. Still a great cap, it was previewed on their live stream and looked fire. When you see them previewed, it makes you anxious to buy. Just like sneakers, these companies have us buying the same item over and over.

Failed on HC. Mistakenly added blue jays and corrected my cart. Precious seconds. Also shop pay not the move
Same experience on my end with shop pay and HC, it’s definitely not a good match.

Thanks again for posting this, mine arrived today and it’s :nthat:

China hats fit me like a glove where Bangladesh are either too small or the crown fits like a low profile.

What's the deal with Styll, btw? You need a code or something to not have to pay $10k for their hats or something?

Correct. Some people get an early invoice/code, then on actual release day, they post the code on their IG. Guess it’s to prevent bots. And they mentioned, they still get lots of orders even when it’s $10k, but all gets canceled unless it’s with a code.

It’s likely usa made, which is a huge plus. But it may fit a bit more like a regular mid crown. Retail on onfields leading into 2000 was around $24.99-$26.99 I believe. Retail as late as 2015 was still just $34.99.

I’d say $20 shipped is pushing it for a used nba pin wheel, which may still be sitting at hatland. Lol. You’re spot on. $17.50 or bust.

Black bands are tough to go by as far as age. Look at the lettering on the tags. If there is any hint of brown or yellow on the stitching there, it may be more used than originally suggested. The under is also a good indication. It doesn’t seem too worn out. The only thing going his way is that rare factor since it’s 18 plus years old. I see many sellers trying to sell this sort of nba pin wheel junk in new fashion for $30-$50. It didn’t sell then and may not now.

I had a feeling you were going to chime in because you normally provide input, somewhat favorable at that.

That's exactly why I got it, the made in USA factor with fitted hats from the 2000s.

I was able to consummate a deal promptly with the seller on Sunday. He was really cool with me! I asked him to divulge any other flaws, and there weren't any because the condition matched the pictures. I asked him if my initial $15 offer was OK based on the condition, he accepted it. I rejected his $20 counteroffer and rehashed my $15 offer after our communication, he accepted it.

I paid for it the same day, he shipped it on Monday, I received it on Wednesday. It was as described/pictured when I received it. Not worn a lot.

Thanks for your feedback about the price I should have maintained.

Dude, Hatand is a damn joke! I learned about them in 2004 on a different forum website. And they still haven't changed or learned because they're still trying to charge regular price for hats from the 2000s. They didn't sell for regular price that decade, they sure as hell won't sell for that much now. They're really sitting on them.

I checked their website recently because you mentioned them. The few markdowns they had were a joke, just a few bucks off. And they're dumber than remedial because they misspelled sale! They actually misspelled sale as "salle". What the F?

It's pathetic that sellers are trying to sell legitimately old merchandise as new, with jacked up prices sometimes.

It's too bad you didn't like the NBA pinwheel hats from the 2000s. I admit I'm a sucker for multi-color fitted hats because they stand out more than solid/one color hats. But I never liked the pinwheel hats with more than two colors on many quadrants of the crown. The two-tone one I got is my preference.

But I do agree that the 2000s had some junk stuff like those Double Whammy hats with two graphic designs on the front. Those were so tacky and dopey looking. And unfortunately, New Era brought them back. They just have a different name now.

I always dreaded this design.

And yet the nfl ones were very close to plain Jane on fields.
It was nearly Impossible to find plain Jane customs for either nba or Mlb
The plain janes were awesome. But even Reebok went and did the same crap new era did when contracts changed

Thanks for sharing pictures of those New Era fitted hats from the early 2000s. The decals on the bills are always a dead giveaway that they're from that period.

There were NBA fitted hats that were solid colored at that time, but the multi-color versions were more popular.

I never paid attention to MLB fitted hats beyond the authentic versions. I never liked a MLB hat that wasn't an on-field hat.

I miss those types of New Era NFL fitted hats you posted. I wish I stocked up on them when I had the chance, especially when they were marked down at multiple Foot Locker stores after Reebok got the NFL license in 2001. I believe Foot Locker marked them down after 2002. I think those marked down NFL hats lasted until 2004 at the stores.

It sucked when Reebok got the NFL license and f'd everything up to the point that New Era had to stop making NFL hats in 2001. New Era really couldn't make NFL hats again until 2012 when they regained the license. Reebok hats really had crappy designs along with poor quality. And it sucks that New Era couldn't go back to making NFL hats like they did in the early 2000s after they regained the license.

Is that for collection purposes? The shape is crushed.

Sorry, but I'm not sure if your question is directed to the seller or me.

As far as it goes with me, I ended up getting it for myself to wear with an authentic Nets Jason Kidd jersey I have.

I received it this week and it was in decent/good condition for a hat that's at least 15 years old. I was satisfied with the condition. I look forward to wearing it with that jersey.

I got this Nets fitted hat off eBay this week. I've been wanting a Nets hat with this logo and in these colors for so many years now, particularly since the 2000s. It was a good deal for a hat from the 2000s made in USA that hasn't been around since then. It was also in pretty decent/good condition for something hardly worn and its age.

I definitely had to get it to wear with this Jason Kidd authentic jersey. Now I hope to find some matching shoes to go with this hat and jersey.

China hats fit me like a glove where Bangladesh are either too small or the crown fits like a low profile.
It doesn’t help I’m a 7 7/8 naturally and a lot of runs have one of them, so I’m left with a 7 3/4 or an 8; but lately these custom hats have been fitting like trash after extended wear.

How can a hat fit loose but still leave marks and hurt your head/temples? How can a tighter fit still slip off your head?
I’ve also noticed either China or Bangladesh tend to have a deeper front crown so it can almost go down towards your eyebrows, while other types tend to have a more low profile fit and feel like a smaller dad hat. The inconsistencies are leading me to go directly back to black nasties and early 2000 usa grey unders. Some caps go deeper to almost behind or over your ears. Unless I’m able to try on new hyped releases, I want to admit I have to call it quits. I’m constantly adjusting these hats 9-10 times an hour, while a properly made usa grey under doesn’t get touched but ONCE an hour.

You can add materials to the band and/or try stretching caps but the work required to get a basic decent fit is exhausting.

Meanwhile, I spotted this in my closet and it’s been fitting perfect since I broke it out. Still fits great. This weekends extensive wear

2005 era twins two tone. MUSA 100% wool

No wearing issues or complaints. I’m honestly not sure why I deal with this new era or inconsistencies and crap.
It’s snug and doesn’t slip or leave marks. Maybe it’s my haircut that needs adjustment?

These usa grey unders are beyond throw on and wear gems. While the others require prep work. And I’m not even talking beat up worn hats. Most are ready out of the gate.
