i see those ligature style caps on sale now at neweracap. I love my twins and Brewers. They're very much like alternate universe on fields. Absolutely no hype on those in the slightest. You don't often see new eras on sale.

gotta love the candy themes and treehouse adventures and magic School bus type themes. It was a perfect storm. Lots of patches got thrown out into the wild for the first time. Either new era or the teams opened the vaults. Add in colors never truly seen on caps in those combos and some small fraction of hype was warranted. Ty shows you can make some thoughtful magic. But far too much is overkill. The photo shoots are hilarious. Not sure they're needed as myfitted will have a basic photo and sell out instantly.I'm a traditionalist at heart. A team color cap with one front team logo is all that's needed for me. I hope they're not dying off. I need to get back and buy from Mickey's place and keep those styles active.

HC used to do pre orders but too many didn't read any print at all and complained. The turnaround is always 3-4 months n

topperz pretty much drops randomly (from what I've noticed anywhere between 7am to 12pm pst, kind of have to watch their IG story which is pretty tedious) and yeah i want that sonic mariners too
they did a restock like two or three weeks ago and then did another this sunday 7am pst 
i like this city connect dback's not eem sure if myfitteds dropped it yet

The New Era website isn't great despite it being its own company's site. They only have the contemporary designs, no throwback designs whatsoever. And they pretty much never restock sizes when they run out for some odd reason.

I imagine they make so much money from other companies doing customs that they don’t budget a lot to designers for unique styles outside of their monthly “look we got creative” releases that are typically not very interesting. They do more with NBA hats than they do with MLB. And ordering on their site without Apple Pay is a headache.

Yeah I haven’t ordered on New Era’s site in ages. They just got the plain and lackluster caps.

The lids site isn’t great either. Not since fanatics bought them out. Prior to that, all of their stores inventory was linked together and many customs found only in Chicago or Miami actually were available to all. Then they basically told us to shop in store only and these places only had these specific styles. I think that widened the goals/nets for these custom sites to bring all of America to the same unique creations.
Other than one or two weekly exclusive drops, nec is one of the worst for selection. Lids is second.

i remember the preorder fiasco. Don’t know too much about it but I think it flopped like u said due to heads not being patient to the wait time(6Monthish).
I think with the way the hype is with some releases it will work now.
Hopefully stores find a way to meet the consumer half way.

I noticed the Lids site definitely changed after Fanatics bought them out. I recall the site under the previous ownership regime was connected to the physical stores in a sense.
It clearly has Fanatics' fingerprints on it now ever since their takeover based on the listed inventory on there.
I have a feeling my preference for New Era fitted hats will be divergent from most of the peeps on here because I actually prefer the plain/basic styles, whereas a lot on here have an affinity for the custom styles based on what I've seen.
I only get hats to match with a specific jersey of whatever other type of teams' apparel I have.
I want to say my preference for plain/basic style hats stems from the design of the MLB on field hats. Like I like to get NBA & NFL fitted hats that resemble a baseball hat style whether it's a solid color or a two-tone style. I liked it when New Era reacquired the NFL license 10 years ago and made the official sideline hats look like baseball hats, albeit with NFL team logos on them. But I've dreaded it for the last few years when they had to make a new version each season to pimp things out.
