BACK ON 2'S...

SCOOPED THIS TODAY.

2014 WITH 544 MILES ON IT.

LOVING IT SO FAR.

MODS TO COME: POWER COMMANDER, VOODOO EXHAUST, HID HEADLIGHTS, LED ACCENT LIGHTING.

Anyone ever done a straight trade? How do you go about avoiding the taxes (i'm in NYC). Found a dude that's willing to do a straight trade for my XL883L for his Z125. We both already paid taxes on the bike when we purchased it...doesn't make sense to have to pay taxes again. I see that there's a section on the DTF-802 (bill of sale) that asks if we traded. Do we have to pay the tax on the net difference of that amount?

Thanks all!

^That bike is so ill. Still looking into getting my first bike. Straight up looking to finance the Ducati Supersport. Main reason I'd get that over the paningale is because I've read that pretty much most sport bikes aren't everyday bikes comfort wise. I just found this out. Is that true? I don't plan on going on 8 hour road trips with my bike weekly but if I ride it daily to eat/chill/ and everything else am I gonna start to get annoyed by how uncomfortable it is if I get something like a paningale or gsxr?

it depends on your threshold...generally sportbikes tend to have more aggressive seating positions, and though you can change the geometry to be less aggressive with bar risers &/or adjustable pegs, it will still be aggressive in comparison to a cruiser or even a sporty naked bike. it can be tough to pull miles on any bike regardless of seating position; the best way to get a feel for what will suit you best or even what you are willing to put up with, is hit up a local dealership & sit on different bikes...

Anyone in here do their own chain replacements? Any tips for someone trying to do it for the first time? Also, any suggested brands for chains? I don't need top performance, but I also don't want to buy some off-brand from eBay.

What's a solid 1st helmet? Budget 200-300 but if I could go lower and that would be okay too.

Here's a great, infoormative vid of a chain/sprocket replacement, it doesn't seem too difficult with the right tools.

Plenty of great helmets available well below that price point. Helmets that are ECE or SNELL certified are a big plus. All the links I'm posting are for RevZilla, but you should definitely shop around online. A big part of buying a helmet is getting one that fits your head properly; not just in terms of size but shape (neutral, oval, round, etc.). I find RevZilla is a good place for information, but their prices are certainly not always the best. Try different brands in store if you can and then buy online. The helmets I'm listing are in no particular order, but they should all be well within your budget.

Anybody ride the new Honda Rebels? I'm looking for one now and trying to get an end of the season sale.

Copped my latest bike this week. Started with a 94 CBR 600 about 2 years ago.

Sold it when I found out I was having a shorty and decided to hop back into bikes recently, so I copped a Iron 883.....

Dude at work told me it was a ***** bike.

Welcome back! Always gonna be Harley haters, but Irons are dope. Wonder what he rides.

He's a SUPER triumph guy.... Like wears the boots, sweaters, jackets, EVERYTHING... It's very Dalsito-esque lol.

All good tho. I love my bike. Caught a 2013 with 1500 miles on it for 4700
