My 2013 Tesla

1000
Are charge stations readily available? I've never seen one in Tampa. :nerd:

i love the Tesla Model S. i got to drive one when i worked at a guys house who owned one. they are super nice and much faster than people think (I think the S model has around 450hp). the only thing that would scare me away from owning one is the fact that they can only go like less than 300 miles on a charge.

How do you charge it though if you have a charge station like 10 miles away??

That's a silly assumption. There's plenty of reasons why a person of means may not have a garage.
You completely missed my point. My point is if you are a person of means, chances are you live somewhere where it's safe to plug in your car. If you rent a basement suite, you probably shouldn't be considering a Tesla. That was my point, simple as that. It was merely a generalization, not a rule. I'm sure there are exceptions, there always are :rolleyes

Thanks man, I just bought it a couple weeks ago, storing it during the winter.  first thing imma do in spring is throw some tint on it, and flowmaster cat back

Good theft deterrent systems... Motorcycle got stolen... But I got KT back... Gotta protect my baby

I can't wait to scoop a new car in a year or 2. Debating on TSX, accord coupe civic coupe and Altima coupe (20k) budget. Got more than enough time to debate.

I knew this... I just find the fixed roof not appealing compared to this...

I always prefered this look over the ZO6 fixed roof.. Its funny how much people don't emm notice it till you bring it to their attention..

Always liked the exterior, but this is downright inexcusable:

Vettes were never known for their interior.. It seems like the new Vettehas great interior but the outside is fugly now..

IMO they look great.

Also if you didnt know those roofs are on all Z06s of the era... the glassback version you prefer was the base model.

 funny enough thats actually a 2005+; The blue car posted by haddix has an even more basic interior.

To each their own though, most Vette buyers couldnt care less about about the interior. Its a sportscar... not a luxury car. People buy them for the driving experience, not the stationary experience. Generic interiors allow GM to sell their cars at a price that blows away the competition.

I personally like bland and plain american interiors.

"It's a sports car" isn't a valid argument. There is no excuse for the Corvette's GM parts bin interior. The Cayman is a sports car but somehow Porsche manages to fit it with a decent interior...

C7 looks to be improved, though:

No, I actually didn't miss your point and it is a ridiculous generalization. Then you follow it up with an even more ridiculous generalization about someone renting a basement suite. There are plenty of people of means that live in(or own) luxury apartments/condos with parking lots/garages where you cannot plug in your car.

The Caymen is an entry level Porsche product while the Corvette is GMs flagship performance product, yet the Vette still MSRPs lower then the Caymen. Generic parts bin interiors are a large factor in what allows American cars to outperform their competition while costing less.

Also keep in mind the Porsche interior you posted is a Caymen S, the base Caymen interior is just as grey, dull and lame as the c6.... But add some red bump the price 10k and all of a sudden its decent.

What are you trying to prove here  ? I'm well aware it is a generalization, I even SAID I made a generalization. I also mentioned there were exceptions, e.g. People with condos that don't feel safe plugging it in.

So again, where are you going with this?

Thanks fellas.

I don't have a garage; no problem charging though.

Going to get the HPWC installed and I'll get 60 miles per hour of charging since I have the twin chargers.

that 17" touch screen in the model is is serious though

Yes it is. Plus free internet/3G and free Slacker for the time being. I axed if they'll have 4G and the Delivery Specialist told me it already has the hardware, just needs a software update. I don't know if he knows for sure though. I can tether my cell phone to it anyways.
