\\ Post Your Car vol. Been a minute //

Keep what you have and mod it

I don't understand why people roll around in stock cars and never throw in aftermarket stuff

Im talking about REAL mods...not bull **** aftermarket bolt ons :lol

Engine work, ECM flashes, transmission reinforced

Headers, exhaust, suspension overhaul, etc.

what you think im talkin' bout? Neon lights?

Like I said, mods can't void your warranty.

Unless it was the reason x, y, or z part failed

Umm mods can and WILL void your warranty..

Hennessey performance packages for example

Void da car you are modding because of da extensive

Changes done to improve performance.

Companies will go out of their way to deny claims the question you have ask yourself is are you willing to fight that battle if comes to that.

unless you can make friends with your local service advisor, mods will definitely void your warranty. read about it happening all the time.

those are lemons, no?

aside from a suspension issue, I don't think they have any major problems. I'm just gonna tell him to set the adjustable suspension to sport so it's as low as it'll go and then never touch it again.

Yea Monday they right Infiniti didn't wanna fix my wheel hub assemblies under warranty because of my springs. Lucky for me the car had been in per mod for issues with them. Fixed for free 99 insteada like 400 bones

Same, hoping to own all 3. I truly love those cars, more so than the supercars today.

You saw an R34 for sale in the USA? How was it here?

If it was here, I would've assumed it was imported by Motorex and therefore street legal, but no way it would've been 30k if that was the case. Most people wouldn't waste the funds to import an illegal one over too...
Dude, this thing is incredible looking, 1998 R34 Skyline GTR with 64K on the clock.  Dolock body kit with GTR wing, Greddy exhaust, Japan import without title export papers only.  For sale by Newport Coast Auto.  Here is the link:

I would die to be able to drive this thing.  Only thing I'm not feeling is the matte black, but I could live with it.  Could buy and then store for 10 years until it becomes legal to drive as a 25yo classic car, but would be constantly worried the feds would take it and then be out 30K!

Any thoughts on the 300zx TT 6-speed?  I've been looking at a low mileage 1993 TT 300ZX in immaculate shape, could get it for roughly half of what a stock Supra TT 6-speed is currently going for.  I would be looking to mod it to improve hp but not sure it can handle the increase quite like the Supra platform can.

Also for you domestic guys, I am usually an import fan, but pulled up next to a blacked out Camaro ZL1 today and seriously started to question why I bought a Cayman R.  That thing sounds and looks incredible!

Gotta make friends with the service advisor and/or the tech. Otherwise you are donezo with mods.

Once you have that hookup. :smokin:smokin

This, I work in sales so I already knew that if I bought something had helped him out he would help me out.

I always get my oil changes at the dealership they offer the 4 for 100, I take it. He recommends something as long as it isn't something outlandish I take it because when I hit that dip too fast and broke a bracket on my bumper I went straight to him and he hooked it up for free. It was my fault and they could charged me if they really wanted to. Hell I'd outright bribe if I wanted something bad enough.

However I'm still afraid to crack my engine because sometimes he isn't there and he may quit and when you go to any work done they note that **** in the service records.

The carfax for my Charger mentioned that I had a K&N drop in. I was like WTF who would take the time to note that.

Awaiting an appraisal on my G... 28k

DEaler matched dodge incentives

Wont be long now :evil

Ive made it abdunatly clear... the r/t is not a fast car. I want the challenger specifically the redline for the appearance. At 28k itsa steal.payments gunna stay within 15% of my current and in 2 years... 392

your seriously gonna give up the g for a v6 challenger ??? omg niketalk has gotten to you stop it 5 the dodges are just dodges stay in your infiniti .....thats a damn police car / auction bound ol challenger my dude

That car is gorgeous. Paint is pretty tacky and so are the rims, but those are easy fixes.

This isn't a GT-R though. GT-Rs have the RB26DETT twin turbo engine in them, this has an RB20, not to mention it's an automatic (GT-Rs are manual only) and the Brembos aren't authentic.

Probably a good idea not to pick it up, better to wait for the real GT-R and not risk cops impounding it.

The 300zx is alright but I much prefer the Supra. If you're looking to max out the engine I believe the Supra is the go-to car, with the manual transmission you can take the HP numbers sky high on that thing and have ease of mind behind the wheel.

Haha.  "You don't have like NOS, or nitrous or anything like that in this thing."  Haha, love it, Supra is a freaking beast.  I love the 300ZX styling, especially the Steve Millen SMZ edition, there is one on autotrader now, but I think I would always be kicking myself that I didn't hold out for the Supra.

I have been looking for like 6 months now for a clean, unmodified Supra TT 6-speed, but they are super rare and are becoming rarer by each passing year I am finding.  I look practically every day on autotrader, ebay, craigslist (full of scams, bastards), and cars.com.  I want to modify it tastefully and follow a path that would lead to 1000hp safely and smoothly.  Thanks for the heads up on the R34.  I have been researching the practicality of purchasing one, but I think I need to go back and read more about the platform of the GT-R.

Lol yall r crazy... im giving up the g cuz it has 80k on the clock and needs tires... im done puttin money into it. Jus doesnt seem smart to push a high mileage whip if I can afford not to. Furthermore if I get the r/t it will have ugly wheels. No sunroof no u connect etc for same payment. Even furthermore im getting it for 28k... the ralleyes hold their value better than base r/ts for what its worth. Theres obv no convincing NT getting a less powerful car is the move but whichever route I went itd be slower than the G...

^^^^ different strokes for different folks
The infinity and chally he is about to buy are both 6 cylinders
Maybe he likes the looks of the chally better? Obviously does
Maybe he is under 25 and the insurance on the srt8 will be too much.
Maybe the srt8 is not currently in his budget yet but instead if waiting for 2 years like he said wants to at least get into a challenger for now just because he likes the body style so much
Regardless that v6 looks like it has upgraded wheels stripe kit and probably a spoiler so def won't look like a bare base model
Congrats on the pick up. Hope you enjoy it
