So the wife is applying for a job with a large tech firm that is based in Seattle. If she gets this job, we both decided our best option is to move out there.
Currently, we live in NOVA (prince William county) in a decent townhouse. We have 2 kids, 4 and 9, and a dog.
In short, what neighborhoods should we be looking at? Our kids would be attending public school; we'd like a commute less than 45 minutes from downtown (the shorter the better), we'd like a single family home with a decent yard (quarter acre lot or so). We'd probably rent first to get an idea of places to settle, and would like to find a neighborhood where we can rent a house for $2500 or less.
Also, need general info about Seattle; we have kids so the nightlife is low priority. We're black if that matters...
