gather up a ton of pidgey candies, gather up enough pidgeys to evolve using said candies. use a lucky egg. then evolve allllllllll those pidgeys for double exp because of the lucky egg.
u get double exp for evolving any pokemon, but pidgeys are cheap to evolve. only costs 12 pidgey candies to evolve a pidgey. same with caterpies and weedles. they all cost 12.

Went from level 10 to 12 just now using the lucky egg with all my pidgeys lol. Saving the other lucky egg for after level 15 or 16.

I found out about the Pidgey trick late 
I must have had 15 or more of those things. Everytime I got them, I just gave them to the Professor for candy. Smh
