there's apparently going to be a midsole change, i assume instead of the typical EVA that's been there since the 6, it'll be profly instead

What would make it any different than the Mach 4 at that point?
i mean to your point, it brings into the question of what would be the purpose of hoka having the mach 4, rincon and clifton?
i always felt like the mach 4 was going to create a lot of confusion with their lineup, but i would assume the clifton 8 may just be using a softer version of profly and keep it as the softer cushioned daily trainer
If the Clifton is all profly (it looks like a single density midsole) it will likely be softer and less responsive than the dual density Mach 4. The Rincon series is still using the older EVA, right?
your spot on with what i had in mind for what the clifton will eventually/is going to be.
as for rincon, i think its the older EVA as of now, no news yet on the rincon 3 but i still am unsure of where it would fit with the mach 4 now

Nah. Just making light of the PED and unfair advantage crowd. I’d like to see more data or records. Especially for longer races. Dope shoe especially if it were given the Bruce Lee treatment.

Ended up going a completely different direction on my trail “running” choice after debating getting the speedgoats. My size popped back up for the Adidas Speed ultra on Zappos , and I went with those. Excited to try them out.
