LOL at all the Suns haters on this board....ANYONE can miss the playoffs out west....get off there nuts....they've been struggling obviously but give themtime to get it together....and SOME of these Lakers fans are getting mad annoying....

Since I feel as if I'm only one of the few Suns fans on the board, I'll try to contribute:
Yes, it is a sad and harsh reality for the Suns after losing to the eventual Western Conference Champ the last 3 years, it seemed as if they only needed alittle push to finally make it to the Finals, and judging how the Suns have fared against the East in the Nash Era it seems as if they would certainly be ableto win an NBA title.
So the Lakers pull an absolute steal for Gasol, and the Suns decide to freak out. Shaq as an interior presence, sure. Defensive upgrade? NO. You never tradeyour best defensive player in order to improve your defense. The Suns are still getting out rebounded. Thanks to this boneheaded trade, the Suns got - older,slower, and worse on defense. Now, if the Suns match up with lets say the Mavs in the playoffs, who is going to guard Dirk? Grant - don't think so. Raja?Right. Amare? Sure, if you want Dirk to go for 70

For this trade, there was a lot of criticism, and a lot of praise. I just kept saying, let's wait and see. And as of now I've almost seen enough.

Houston looks strong even without YAO
This is true, but that will be extremely difficult to sustain. They are looking great right now, but they still have playoff ground to gain.

Utah's final 6 games of the season are Spurs, Hornets, Mavs, Nuggets, Rockets, Spurs.
Denver's final 6? Sonics, Clips, Warriors, Jazz, Rockets, Grizz.
Much, MUCH easier.

I know a lot of people hate the suns and Zo but the suns are a good team who just have to get used to shaq playing.
At first I thought this deal would work well for the suns but its not looking good right now. But you never know.
