My favorite male actors:

Leonardo DiCaprio
Denzel Washington
Phillip-Seymour Hoffman
Dev Patel
Barry Keoghan
Matthew McConaghey (is always coming)

My favorite female actors:

Cailee Spaney
Isabella Merced
Anna Kendrick
Kaitlyn Dever
Jenna Ortega
Emma Watson (act)

I think we have an advantage on one side of the gender ^ immediate above
Re: Jenna Ortega…thank you! I think she’s awesome and doesn’t seem to get mentioned enough as far as I can tell. Love her

calibeebee calibeebee I think I’ve come to the conclusion that I happen to be pretty fond of movies that achieve cult following.

Like for example, if you look up Super Mario Bros. (1993) on wikipedia, the article will mention that the film has a cult following.

A handful of other movies with a lot going for them have also appeared to have achieved cult status.

For example, I was looking at a list on Imdb titled “90’s Cult Classics,” and it contains a lot of movies that we both like.

B Bronson Your thoughts on Cloverfield?
Last I saw it, I thought it was really good. I can’t say that I remember it perfectly though.

I think it had a really strong start, and once things starting going down it was pretty intense.

I can’t say I had the opportunity to get the theatrical experience though. Must have been a fun opening night I would think.

On the topic of movies with a strong start, I would certainly rank War of the Worlds (2005) very high in that regard. First thirty minutes or so were really intense. It didn’t maintain that strength throughout the whole film, but wow, what a beginning.
