Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Started the Citadel: Diana show on amazon. The main character has such a stupid looking haircut and it's so distracting. Worst haircut since the guy from snabba cash.

Today (YouTube - thank God for auto translation) The title is ¿Quién puede matar a un niño?/Who Can Kill A Child but I love this poster

A couple of English tourists arrive on an island where all the children have gone crazy and are murdering the adults.

Information didn't travel as fast in the '70s, but it can't be a coincidence that this novel dropped in 1976 and Children of the Corn dropped in 1977. Even if King didn't borrow ideas for his book, the cinematographer definitely did for the film adaption of CotC. There are too many similarities.

Between this and The Fan, foreigners sure know how to do a third act

Damn, Zoe kind of killed it with Blink Twice.
That would be a decent piece for a Vet but for a Debut that was pretty impressive.
Not quite the Get Out praise that was heaped on Peele but it’s close, it’s for sure close.

SMILE2?
There’s a lot of film dropping. Didn’t think this one would hit theaters this time.

The DIPLOMAT S2 starts sometime this month on NETFLIX.

I still need to watch THEM season2 on Amazon.
That first season was creepy as hell.

Bad Boys 4 was ****in garbage. Waste of time.

Wolfs was disappointing. Wasn’t bad but expected more with that cast.

I’m ****in with that Bad Monkey show on Apple TV. I like the humor but there’s too many stories going on. Still a strong show.

Lioness is a pretty good show. Something new i've not seen in a special ops / spy show is the spy boss has her new undercover operative get interrogated / tortured, the special ops team finds out and goes to the bar on the military base and beats the hell out of the soldiers who did the interrogating.

Scorsese talk. Is Casino his best work? Trying to determine if that specific film is his Magnus Opus and to my knowledge, it very well may be.

Is the movie Casino the high-point of Martin Scorsese’s directorial catologue?

Movie experts/Scorsese heads please provide your insight and thank you!

I’ve heard more praise for movies like Raging Bull, Taxi Driver, Mean Streets and Goodfellas.

Casino is my favorite Marty movie and is in my top 5 favorite movies. I think most of the 40 and under crowd prefer Goodfellas over Casino.

I didn't recognize naomi scott in the smile 2 trailer. She's looking fire with the short, blonde hair.

I wouldn’t argue they’re his best films, but I’M a big fan of Marty’s music documentaries, especially the one about George Harrison of the Beatles.

Something I have learned over the years, whatever you saw first between Goodfellas and Casino alters your view.

I saw Casino first. Other that saw Goodfellas first swear by that one.

I just listened to the Casino podcast a few weeks ago and they were also saying similar things how the ones that saw Goodfellas swear by that, and the ones that saw Casino first swear by it. Very interesting thing to me. I love them both, I'm sure most people do, but for me, I enjoyed Casino more. If I had to guess, it's because the narration by DeNiro and Pesci moreso than by Liotta.

But if I saw Goodfellas first, I may think completely differently.
