Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Man yall should've watched Robocop at a young age, the excessive violence would've stuck with you. It's like watching all of the Death Wish movies in a row but with more explosions.

Like it isn't even sic fi the way sci fi is today or how it's been after. They literally took a man, made him in to a cyborg and dropped him in to a high crime area to do work. So you can see Robocop going around killing drug dealers and wiping out gangs :lol

I don't even know what to say.

How could you watch anything Steven Segal, Jean Claude Van Dam, or Chuck Norris and not know the greatness that is Charles Bronson???!!!!?

Track all of them down man. Won't have the same impact but you'll see some good gory 80s action and get a good laugh.

80's Segal is all I need to see from that era. Out for Justice one of my all timers. Led me to the glory that is Under Siege. :hat

Bronson, Chuck Norris, even Van Damme, I was never big on.

I never really cared for the Death Wish movies. And it's not that I don't like that genre. Love Robocop (had a poster of Robo in my room when I was a kid) and am a fan of the Dirty Harry films. But the Death Wish movies are just too 1970s-bleak for me. Plus, they all seem to have a rape scene, which I find very difficult to watch.

So, basically, I don't think CP's missing anything by not having seen those.

Pic from Roberto Duran pic Hands Of Stone. Deniro plays Ray Arcel, Duran's trainer & my main man Ruben Blades plays Carlos Eleta his manager.

this week ive watched

Robocop (2014)........only reason i went to see it cuz i guy i knew told me it was "EPIC!"..........i took his word for it cuz he doesnt like anything besides guns and his girlfriend. he hates everything else.

i liked it. ive seen the OG Robobcop but it was on tv so it was edited and it was a LOOOONG time ago so i dont remembr anything about it.

i like the remake. it isnt about Robocop goin out killing/arresting bad guys, its more about Robocops relationship between his family and his handlers.

Youre Next....when i bought the blu ray at best buy, the cashier guy says "This movie was interesting.......very interesting, but it took me awhile to follow what was going on".

alot of the positive reviews say its "original, unpredictable, you wont guess the twist".........i found the movie to be UNorginial, very predictable, and i did guess the twist.

however i did KINDA like it. if i woulda never heard anything at all about this movie i mighta liked it more.  it seemed like every single character n the film is odd or weird or just plain stupid, it does add some thing subtle comedy to the film.

i also feel like i liked it more when i didnt have a clue what was going on, as the story develops you find all pretty much all u need to know but it would be cooler if we didnt know why the famiy was being attacked and if we never found out anything about FoxFace LambFace WolfFace

Rush.........pretty good. felt happy for Nikki. he seemed like the typa guy that would NEVER find a wife lol.

Lone Ranger..... doesnt deserve all the hate. also LONG. i love Tontos facepaint and bird.

Place Beyond The Pines.......good movie. LONG. not something id watch over and over again tho.

now i need to get Kick *** 2 cuz i LOVED it when i saw it in the theaters.

cant wait for Thor2 on Tuesday.

MAN OF STEEL IS AWESOMMMEEE!!!

I think I posted about this british show here sometime last year, I started watching it but never finished.  I just read that it's being adapted by David Fincher for HBO.  might give it another shot

Man, just finished Oldboy. ******* loved it. Mad weird but damn. Still wrapping my head around what the hell I just watched :eek

What happened with this movie? There was some talk about it and I never even saw it at the theater. Seemed to be a decent buzz too.

Which Oldboy did you watch? The Korean version or Spike Lee's?

Korean version is one of my favorite films ever

LOVED the new Robocop. Don't have time to go into detail, and it's not perfect, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I haven't loved an action movie this much in a long, long time. Liked it even more than Pacific Rim, the last action film that I fell in love with instantly.
