This should've been a pic from the Machinist
Very very good show. I was late on it as well and got all caught up on Netflix. The idea of Cumberbatch as Sherlock threw me off, given what I've seen him in and the recent (recent to me) portrayals of Sherlock were RDJR and Jonny Lee Miller but he's very good with his take and the writing only allows him to further bring the story to life and make the show entertaining and interesting. The plots are far better than the norm.Sherlock Will Return January 19
By Margaret Lyons
The long-awaited third season of the BBC's Sherlock will premiere in the United States on January 19 at 10 p.m., PBS tells EW.
That's two weeks after Downton Abbey's premiere, though that show is currently already airing its fourth season overseas and is thus available on the Internet, should rabid fans seek it out. Note that Sherlock still does not have a U.K. release date but that the BBC of course has first dibs on airing the show — meaning the series will make its British debut sometime before January 19. This again means that it will be on the Internet right after it airs in the U.K., not that anyone would ever condone watching things on the Internet, even something you've been waiting for for like, two whole years, while some people went off to make more goddamn Hobbit movies.
Seen the first episode (which is a 90 minute film, essentially). Seems like there's 3 in every season. Going to make sure I'm all caught up before it airs. Might be the next show I watch once I'm all caught up on Homeland.
Bale going to be Moses in the new movie?
You have to see Rope and especially North by Northwest. So far i've seen

Vertigo
Rear Window
Strangers on a Train
and Dial M....
Rope is on youtube so that will probably be next
Jesus. I didn't know it was THAT many shows. His retirement ends an impressive career for a fictional character, as he has the record for appearing in the most television series by a single fictional character, appearing on nine different TV series as Detective Munch over 22 years.
Phoebe in Fast Times in Ridgemont High > Phoebe in anything else
Pheobe Cates is so cute

I knew Ironside was going to be canceled so I didn't bother. It had cancel written all over it I mean how did they think a remake of that show was gonna fly? Same goes for their upcoming Dracula joint.Pitch your TV show to a network television station. The "Pilot" will be your triumphant moment, apparently.
The following shows that debuted this Fall, ALL have received less and less viewers with the advancing weeks.
Sleepy Hollow (even though it was renewed)
Lucky 7
The Blacklist
Marvel: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Hostages
Ironside (well, already cancelled)
Welcome To The Family (which had some really bad ratings).
The only one that has gone up from its previous week was Betrayal, a Sunday ABC drama starring Hannah Ware and Stuart Townsend, that somehow went from 2.88 million U.S. viewers in episode 3 to 3.51 million U.S. viewers in episode 4. When you put things into perspective though, that's hardly any viewers for a network show (especially on such a popular day for the TV industry like Sunday).
