OFFICIAL Ye fka "kanYe West" x G.O.O.D. Music Thread - ¥$ (AKA YE X TY DOLLA SIGN) - VULTURES 2 (NOW AVAILABLE sorta)

Yeezus is better than Magna Carta, end of story. Jay passed the torch to Kanye a long time ago. That being said I was disappointed in Yeezus, but that was inevitable considering Kanye's last solo album was MBDTF.
I feel the same. I was dissapointed in both albums, but I feel Yeezus (I f*cking hate that name) way more than MCHG

I can't help but laughing when at the end of "Blood On The Leaves" when he's just blaring "and liveeeeeeeeeee and learnnnnn" and "liveeeee, liveeee" all autotuned out like he can actually sing or. I just find it ridiculous that people actually call that "talent" smh...

Aside from that part of the song, I think Blood On The Leaves and Bound 2 are the best songs on the ablum. They are they only two songs I can stand listening to all the way through.

I tried to have patience with the album and listen to it a few times, let it grow on me...  I give up, lol.

I'll stick to MCHG and Born Sinner...

Lol kanye is mad about the black skinhead video leaking

i think someone said it's the same thing he used for the video screens during the governors ball performances

If that's the case, it would appear that Kanye just passed the torch to J. Cole.  Either that or J. Cole just snatched the torch right out of Kanye's hand, one or the other.

As for you champ, you have more copies of Yeezus to purchase.  Right now your boy Kanye is on pace to playing catch up as indicated below.  That being said 10 copies wasn't enough, YOU must/got to do more...........

LL

what do sales have to do with this torch you speak of? i guess wale has also surpassed ye & jay huh
Sales are only one part of the equation champ.  Be that as it may, i just find it funny that you personally bought, or said you were going to buy 10 copies of Yeezus and yet Kanye's numbers aren't looking that good as of now.  However I don't blame Kanye for that though, I point the finger directly at the person who didn't do enough for Kanye................which would be YOU (the hater boxden).  Sure you bought 10 copies, but why not 20 copies, why not 30 copies champ.  You didn't do your job.

Naw it wasn't.

The KKK dudes and the barking dobermans are the same (but those aren't 3d renders, theyre actual footage in blak and white), but at govs ball there was no giant 3D person and he had other **** going too. i think a noose and some other things like (NOT FOR SALE) flashing on the screen a lot.

Idk if what leaked yesterday was the finished version, because if it was just the govs ball screen without the giant cartoon kanye, then that >>> what we just saw.

Well at least your honest champ.  I'll give you credit for that much at least.

I really hope there is a Yeezus sequel.
Also Kanye passing the torch to J Cole is absurd.
People are so thirsty for someone to "overtake" Kanye simply because he is a douchebag
Someone will undoubtedly take over Kanye.
But not right now or in the next couple years.
The person most likely to do that will be Drake imo. (Even though I prefer J Cole to Drake)

This is taken from the interview:
Hudson Mohawke: There are a lot of amazing songs that were left off [Yeezus]-- stuff that you might consider to be more melodic or in-line with Kanye's previous material-- purely because they didn't necessarily fit this rough-edged, 90s-industrial-type vibe. A lot of the record is trying to avoid obviousness.
So if what he is saying is true and they put those tracks together to make a sequel, people would probably respond to it better.
I'm eager to hear what they left off.

Unless Kanye hires Con and the rest who made his earlier **** hot then...

Nope.

Hudson says it's because they didn't want to go the easy obvious route, they didn't want to make popular songs that people wouldn't care about in a month.
I kinda see what he's saying, but they are banking that people will come back years later and find this holds up more than pop type stuff.
I feel like Kanye would be a sellout if he went back to his old style.
