Official Umar Johnson Thread

Brah, you just don't get it. Umar Johnson is NOT a representative of the black conscious movement. Put your hopes and faith in a man of his statue and he will always lead you astray

I said he is the “most public speaker on black conscious issues”

I don’t know why you’re saying all of that.

layziegunts layziegunts You would think Umar robbed some of these dudes of a final athletic scholarship or something with the way they come at him. :smh:

Yooooooooo, I don’t get it nor will I ever. If you don’t like him or his messages be a little too extreme or far reaching for you. Fine. However, if Dr Umar is your top enemy in this world and you’re a black man then something is just WRONG.

Some of you really, truly, do not know how influential Black culture has been GLOBALLY. You do not seem to grasp that through the spirituals, the Blues, Jazz, R&B, Rock, HIP HOP, how far what WE do, has traveled and inspired cultures all over the globe. Our poetry, our celebration in the churches regardless of faith, BLACK people due to what we were called, changed the entire world. On our backs an entire economy was created throughout the entire western hemisphere.

So do not give me any of that **** about Black culture not existing, that is nothing but some brainwashed, white capitulating **** jive talk. Some of you punk asses are so keen on doing the white man's bidding, you'll eschew all of what was created for you, simply to have some asian and white friends.

They want to be YOU, wish they had your heritage, WANT to lay claim to creating what OUR ancestors created, and that is why this entire site emulates what only BLACK people created. Some of these devils hate doing it, but they cannot help it, and they hate when it's talked about in its truest form.

You would not have anything to emulate, if it were not for the greatness of Black people.

Deal with it.

Also for the last time.

im not saying a Black American and a Black Tanzanian are exactly the same. Of course not

but you have a lot more similar than different, and they are not your enemy.

have a great evening for my conscious brothers that decided to participate in this dialog ✊🏿

Also, I love my brother ✊🏿 KHUFU KHUFU but am I the only one who realizes he don’t be staying on topic most of the time? Like he be so left field. lol

When a man is afraid to speak his mind on the matter of racism, oppression? He isn't ready to face the necessary battle in order to win freedom. I see that you are calling yourself Black now, so perhaps you'll catch up in other aspects, and that is coming from RIGHT field.

I have never been afraid of who I am.

Haven't had a chance to read or dig into it yet. I'm sure it'll refresh alot of what I've been learning since 1st grade. Interested to see any new info though.
Quick copy and paste:
The 1619 Project is an ongoing project developed by The New York Times Magazine in 2019 with the goal of re-examining the legacy of slavery in the United States and timed for the 400th anniversary of the arrival of the first Africans in Virginia.
