Right? Haha. Wouldn’t do that for a hair cut let alone a tattooPeople going to the open chair as a walk in cause they don’t want to pay over $100/hour
Aveno for 2-3 days and lubraderm (spelling) after that until it’s not itchy anymore. I keep it wrapped until the next day too when it’s newfor after care do the artist tell you exactly what brand to buy for soap/moisturizer or should you already be prepared?
and if the latter, any recommendations?
every tattoo artist is different. Some like aquaphor and some don’t. I usually do unscented dove soap and lotion but this time around my artist told me I could use antibacterial soap and cocoa butter lotion.for after care do the artist tell you exactly what brand to buy for soap/moisturizer or should you already be prepared?

Eee.... if it wasn’t so late I’d say to keep it in the plastic but that’s too long imofudge.
im worried now because my sesh is prob gonna end at 5/6 pm.
but then I fly back out home next morning at 7am (pacific time)
I do have 1 layover at 10 AM - 11:30 AM but i'll be back flying agin and wont land until 5:30 PM (est time)
this **** bout to be a huge pain in the *** because you obv cant have liquid for carry on.
I’m not an artist but just leave it on till you can’t. More then a full 24 hours seems like a lot but I’m sure the area tatted and the way your artists tattoos plays a big role.fudge.

The last guy that tattooed me used this almost like clear sticker thing to put over my tattoo and I was supposed to keep it on for 3 days or so. Hopefully all these tattoo guys are using it cause it is super useful rather than cellophane and tape.
I hit it with a hairdryer briefly prior to removal, helped loosen it up a little.Tegaderm hurt like a motha when removing it. My skin was sensitive to it.
Yup. That was it. He did mention they used it on burn victims too. I will say it does get unsanitary if you are bleeding a lot like below. After 2 days, the blood gets really disgusting so I popped a hole to let it out but then it would just start leaking onto my shirt at times. It worked great on my outline that I did but for some reason, it didn't work that great on the fill.Probably Tegaderm. The artist that did my left sleeve uses it on all the tattooes he does. Healing is so much easier/cleaner than the traditional method of saran wrap til the first wash til next day. I find with Tegaderm I deal with much less peeling too.
Tegaderm was developed for burn victims and lets the skin breath though it won’t leak. At least that’s what I was told.
Think I'm spoiled. I used to get Steve Butcher & Matt Jordan for $1,000 a day. No tip required. No idea how much Steve charges now, but he's in Southern Cali so I imagine through the roof. His profile has also shot through the roof too.Yeah alot of those top tier guys charging cause of who they are. Dont blame em I would too though. $1000 for 6-8 hours of work is on the cheaper end though but I get what you mean.
This. Still have a mark from removing Tegaderm almost a year ago. Also smells like holy hell when you take it offTegaderm hurt like a motha when removing it. My skin was sensitive to it.
