would i be wrong to say that Aldon and Cowboy were a mutually beneficial relationship? could be coincidence but cowboy finally went all-pro the same year aldon came into the league

don't get me wrong, it was clear that aldon reaped more benefits. when justin smith was out with the torn tricep, aldon wasn't ****
Which is why Bosa would compliment Ford and Buckner :D

It sounds like the Niners have a hard on for both Bosa and QW, but they might prefer QW's higher upside. :nerd:

Old adage stuff but Football is a game of inches.

So, when you add a speed rusher of Dee Ford’s caliber you expect QB’s space/pocket to get encroached on quicker. Forcing a QB to step up should increase overall pass rush productivity even if it’s just a couple inches. Cuz all of it will add up throughout the process of an entire game.

Add Bosa or a elite level Edge player to the other side and you got guys meeting at the QB if they get a good first step or jump on the snap. Homefield advantage is such a big presence when it’s loud for this very reason QB’s have to go to a premeditated snap count. Allowing pass rushers to get that additional jump.

Michael Bennet in Seattle and Cliff Avril 5-6 years back we’re count jumping specialists due to their homefield advantage.

It helps pass the time until the combine. >D

No one ain’t tell red81 red81 the combine already done? No wonder he slackin on the mock draft >D

Is Soloman Thomas good at anything?

2017 wasn’t bad 41 tackles 3 sacks

It’s 2018 that suffered, 31 tackles and just 1 sack. There were a couple he had that he straight up whiffed on.

But the guy is like 23 and has had one bad year pump the breaks a little.

The biggest problem like red identified, is more scheme related than anything, we drafted a DT who doesn’t play 1T when we already had our 3T locked with Buckner.

In retrospect that was a big question mark. Like were they worried Buckner wouldn’t work out, and wanted Solly as a the next 3T, or were they just planning on forcing him out of his natural position from the get-go?

Why are we pikachu surprised by the results when we drafted a dominant interior linesman and don’t play him inside?

The biggest problem for him is that he doesn’t have a place on our D right now.

1T & 3T Locked. They tried to make him an end but once we get Bosa LEO will be locked up and Armstead is our BE. That leaves no room for him in base set.

The Base defense is Nickel.

4 down lineman 2 off-ball Linebackers and 5 defensive backs. I’m not gonna pretend to know what kind of rotation Saleh will use for the 4 down lineman. But there will be guys rotated in and out from those 4. But, this team also hasn’t been impervious to injuries.

Ronald Blair as a rotational guy got 534 snaps.
Cassius Marsh got 550 snaps.

There should be enough snaps to go around. Hopefully Saleh can figure out a good rotation.

Looking back I'm glad the Niners didn't end up losing valuable draft assets to acquire Antonio Brown or OBJ

I really believe Dante Pettis can be the Niners next All-Pro WR if he continues to make progress and improve like he's done so far. I absolutely love his ability to create separation from coverage and his YAC ability is somewhat reminiscent of John Taylor, who is arguably the greatest #2 receiver of all time that nobody ever talks about and was also an outstanding punt returner. Also love how Pettis catches passes from all over the field - go routes, slants, down the middle in between the zone, along the sidelines, and near the goal line; he has a little bit of that OBJ flavor.

Kittles, Pettis, Goodwin, Coleman, McKinnon, and Juscheck gonna be hard to contain with all that speed. I really just hope everyone can stay healthy for all 16.

I dont really disagree with your opinion on Pettis. I think he will be an amazing #2. I disagree that it would have taken "valuable draft assets" to acquire Antonio Brown. A 3 and a 5 for an elite WR is not "losing valuable draft assets" in my opinion.

I think everybody in here would love for the team to have completed the deal the Raiders did.

I’d bet N’keal Harry goes in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s.

I know this question wasn’t directed towards me but I love talking draft.

Then don't answer it.

Just playing lmao. I should have tagged you as well but forgot.

I live in AZ in ASU territory so I remember during the football season, kept seeing Harry going off just about every game for ASU and made a mental note to see if he was gonna be a heralded prospect during draft time.

I think he's gonna be a stud in the NFL.
