Media getting lazy with the headlines… VSIP is not a flat 25k payment. VSIP payouts are capped at 25k and what you get is the lesser between your severance payment and 25k (all pretax mind you). Those eligible for a 25k severance have been in govt for over 10 years and generally are in higher pay grades.

Taking VSIP doesn’t make sense unless you have another job lined up already or can stack it with VERA (25 years of fed service or 20 years if you are 50+). So for the vast majority of folks that are nowhere near retirement and don’t have jobs lined up, accepting VSIP means a payout of a few grand if that, forfeiting unemployment eligibility since you voluntarily quit, AND now have to pay significantly more for health and life insurance.

But I guess “25k buyout” rolls off the tongue better…

I'll try and snap some photos this week of the maga mail some of my customer's receive. Really blows my mind how people can consume this much propaganda. i means i sometimes deliver this kind of mail to the same homes 3-5x a week. The US playing their world police and guarantor of EU security was great for African countries, especially those who had to deal with France.

This reawakening of a militaristic France will most likely come with a renewed need for power projection, which doesn't sound great for Africa.

It’s really being underrated by a lot of people (especially the chief Felon) how much of a damn menace European countries are and how the decades of “general” global peace was due to them not having armies. If you think we won’t see them try to do some forceful colonialism within a decade your deluding yourself. The only hope is by then America is in a place where we can compel them go home.
