Are they racist? How do y'all deal with family members who are Trump supporters/die hard Republicans?..Both my parents and my brother are Trumpers and I'm an very much NOT..I've made a big effort the past 12 yrs (since my son was born) to wake up to social issues and have tried to spread the word about peace, inclusiveness, diversity, and that all people need to be treated with respect..But there's no way I can change their mind..How have any of you dealt with this type of situation?..We just got invited to Thanksgiving dinner at my bro's house and every single person that'll be there are not anywhere close to being Democrats..lol..
This guy is 5 foot, flamboyant, gay, black, & obnoxious. How does he end up a Trump supporter?
No matter how small he is, I’d still sic my dog on him, just on GP.His dance moves got Herman killed

It's honestly hard not to say yes, but I will say they definitely don't think that racism is a problem in the country..If someone on the street was to ask me I'd say they're more on the bigot side than blatant racist side..And I don't want to sound like I got my head in the sand when it comes to them, but I also don't think they're just straight up hatemongers ..Does that make sense? Are they racist?

Be thankful you escaped and try to be civil. I’m in the same position with my parents and in-laws. When debates do occur I try to explain my stance with real life experiences that make me feel that way. I find that usually leads to a good conversation with learning on both sides. I feel I’ve chipped away at my parents’ conservative armor a bit but sadly not enough to stop my mother from voting Trump this go around (even though she didn’t vote for him in 2016).How do y'all deal with family members who are Trump supporters/die hard Republicans?..Both my parents and my brother are Trumpers and I'm an very much NOT..I've made a big effort the past 12 yrs (since my son was born) to wake up to social issues and have tried to spread the word about peace, inclusiveness, diversity, and that all people need to be treated with respect..But there's no way I can change their mind..How have any of you dealt with this type of situation?..We just got invited to Thanksgiving dinner at my bro's house and every single person that'll be there are not anywhere close to being Democrats..lol..
