Just got home from dropping off my ballot at the County Elections Office.
Unfortunately for me, my Lyft driver was this old lady who was clearly a Trumper, QAnon believer, and an anti-vaxxer.
For 20 mins ole girl talked my ear off about the cabal and Biden shutting down the economy if they win, and how great a job Trump has done. Said she knew tons of people that signed in to get a covid test, but walked away because the wait was too long, then get a letter in the mail saying they tested positive. She said she thinks that cotton swabs the test used came from China and they have Covid on them, so they infecting people. She said she is not taking a vaccine because it will be manufactured in China, and "don't you know they inject you with the virus". She ranted about the economy should just open back up, and everybody gets back to normal. All this is to just sabotage Trump
She did all this wearing an N95 mask, gloves, ski goggles, and had a clear plastic sheet taped to the sides of the car to create a barrier between the front and back seat. And had an aluminum flex duct pumping AC into the back seat from the front AC vent. While all the windows were open mind you.
Ole girl was all over the place. She caping for Trump while being terrified for her life.
When she was about to drop me off she finally asked me who I voted for, and before she could finish the sentence I cut her off and said, Biden.
The rest of the ride was quiet, she told me to have a nice weekend, but before she closed the door I am almost certain I heard her softly say the n-word.
My perfect 5.0 rider rating is probably gone. But I'm definitely clapping back with that Get Help button.

The whole ride I was hoping she wouldn't ask me, because I thought she might start to act up even more than she was.
The only reason I was so quick to answer was that she was down the street from my house, and she was only going like 15 mph at that point. But best believe that hand was already on the door handle, ready to exit. I was opening the door before she even came to a full stop in front of my place. I was done, done.
But if **** really went left, I would have to hit an emergency exit like...
And pray to socialist Jesus he guides me into my neighbor's pomegranate tree to break the fall.

Honestly this needs to happen for a while, should the democrats win the election and get a majority. They need to do that "because we can" for a while to right the ship. We need to get back to where our politics made SOME semblance of sense and there were SOME rules. Right now it's a free for all for these politicians who have any real control.

The thing is a lot of the low income white Americans that support Trump don't care about the lack of a stimulus because they've been struggling their whole life and blame the prior democrats for these struggles. Immigrants taking their jobs, POC on welfare taking away the potential assistance they'd get from the government, etc.
They have these made up reasons in their head that make them think everyone but the GOP is hurting them and see Trump as a savior even if he's done 0 so far to help them out of their struggles. The stimulus delay means nothing to them because they're oblivious
