***Official Political Discussion Thread***

This ninja Mitt ain't answered a single damn question with specifics. Just a bunch of roundabouts; sadly most of the uneducated people won't even know or recognize that cause Mitt is just being loud.

Truly sad part. This was argued prior to the debate. We as American's deserve strategic detail

Obama redeeming himself. Starting to look good.

Mitt just bulldozing his way through the moderator, but he's 3 minutes behind on speaking time so it's reasonable that they let him.

NT is so far left it's sickening :lol . You guys sound like you're regurgitating some Rachel Maddow piece.

What's wrong with most of NT being to the left? Most of us are part of the middle class and which parties policies benefit the middle class the most? It's common sesne..

Literally, damn near every single thing that he "plans" to do he's either not given specifics or just bold faced lied about what it will and won't do. From the healthcare, to tax cuts, everything has been lies.

Prolly posted already but oh well

Mitt keeps name dropping.

"I met such and such"

A state the size of a quarter, a strong income base, and small population doesn't get to tell me how much better they are than a state the size of Georgia or Illinois.

romney is weak on health care, if da debate gets back on da economy he's gonna get supercharged again...
Supercharged as in go into panic mode? He was talking about the economy but he wasn't saying ****, just like dude said a couple pages back

It's a shame Gary Johnson is not in the debate. Fact check both these ********.

People talking about Romney's lack of detail. Not saying that's a good way to campaign, but that is exactly what Obama did back in 2012. Soaring rhetoric, little detail. Let's be objective folks.

smh at this whole circus

also if u wanna talk about the mortgages u gotta go back to the 90's and early 2000's when greenspan kept interest rates artificially low. the economy was rolling, there was no reason rates should have been where they were. I hate the fed but the rates should've been raised and then a correction would've occurred. Greenspan was advocating for subprime and ARM mortgages for chrissakes

"Put forth a budget, it wasn't very detailed. This seems to be a trend."

:smokin OBEEZY

Because these dudes pansy foot around getting their campaigns going.

Ron Paul (not a big fan) got too stubborn and tried to run on the GOP ticket.

oh and the parties themselves run the debates. Its not the government. Peep that video on the first page.

To meet their anti-redlining promises, executives ditched their caution. Street-level officers soon began offering loans to people with little chance of repaying, including many of Obama’s eventual clients.
Banks were “financing people who had no jobs. … [T]he pendulum swung the other way,” Renee Brooks, an accountant and one of the three named plaintiffs, told TheDC.
“They didn’t check out certain people, and they got loans and they couldn’t afford them in the first place,” Juanita Malone, another Obama client, told TheDC. “I think that really was, to me … not professional.”
In the late 1990s “money became available to everybody … everybody and their brother-in-law,” said Freeman. “Individuals who get money easily and who don’t have a good background and or a good education would expect to suffer the consequences.”
Their judgment is shared by Mark Zandi, an Obama supporter and the chief economist at Moody’s Analytics. “Too-easy credit and millions of bad loans made during the U.S. housing crisis paved the way for the financial calamity and [the] Great Recession that followed,” he wrote in an Aug. 25 column for the Washington Post.
Bank standards fell so fast that by 2006, Citigroup and other banks were offering favorable mortgages to many legal and illegal immigrants who did not have assets or stable incomes – and with the full support of “compassionate conservative” President George W. Bush.
Another downside was that the extra money inflated house prices. Buyers used their easy mortgages to bid against each other for nice houses, and the resulting property bubble ensured that many African-Americans — and by 2007, many Hispanics in the Southwest — faced unaffordable monthly payments.
“When they made the loan, they were able to take care of it,” said Samuel Wilson, who owns a hardware store in Chicago’s Englewood district. “But work began to slow down and they weren’t able to keep up.”

BUT ANYWAY BACK TO THE DEBATE

Back to the debate, save those garbage websites for a PigLove thread. You might as well post stuff from personal blogs.

Why do you think people are so mad at Obama?

Dude promised quite a bit.

Obama did well with Health Care but Health Care is not the problem.

The problem is the Economy tho. Mitt's doing a good job of highlighting the numbers (over and over again). He's not showing us a plan but he's attacking the current economy. The same thing Obama did in 2008 with the Republicans and George Bush.

Obama is playing it cool, Romney is swinging (he has to).

This... It's not like they get an indefinite amount of time... And if they go into specifics it only raises MORE questions.. The debate could literally last days!

One guy is throwing out real life situations and tangible ideas. The other guy is talking about emotional **** like life, liberty and the creator when asked about the role of the federal government.

Yeah....I know who I'm voting for.

That's false.
Kill Bin Laden - done.
Healthcare - done.
Middle Class tax cuts - done

Pay attention.

whoah, grading schools and taking your kids out? maybe in the burbs but most parents cant just choose what public school to put their kid in if the whole district sucks

You tell me.

Dudes were handing out loans like no bodies business before 2008.

Keep letting that memory get to you though.

And who was behind telling the banks to extend these Loans?
it extends back to a discrimination lawsuit against citibank of 186 plantiffs for whom obama was an attorney. Most of whom defaulted or went behind on their loans.
This lead to more and more banks extending these loans because they didnt want to be perceived as discriminatory
False.

Predatory lending has long since been illegal and while you can cite a legal precedent, taking advantage of such a thing is NOT what is meant to happen.

Abuses of the system occur when there is not enough oversight present in the process.

Sad part about the health care law, 90% of americans dont know a damn thing about obama care.. They just go by what they hear on Fox news
Didn't know 90% of the American population watched fox news.

Come on, if you're coming in here with with numbers back them up. Fox news in one, just one conservative news network. The rest of the news networks are more liberal. It's an even playing field.

No one knows what obamacare is because no one cares enough to read it.

I still don't understand how ANYBODY can be undecided or on the fence with both of these guys..
