Reminds of Ben Shapiro being Ben Shapiro

It's like words/terms have lost any and all meaning in today's political discourse

my aunt was working for this rich lady from sunny all this lady was posting on her facebook that people are eating zoo animals and that will happen if bernie sanders win lol... i told her that food stamp was a socialist program just like social security and medicare and ask her if she seen people on line for food

pubs have been calling people they disagree with commies/socialists since Nixon
I do worry about it as it pertains to Bernie, as he's unlike other Dem candidates we've had
every minute spent litigating capitalism vs socialism is not a good thing for Dems
Warren presents the same general goals/principles without the "socialist" stigma

Unless and until the business community and its many allies in the Democratic Party denounce and cuts all ties with China, critiques of Bernie’s qualified praise of Cuba’s literacy programs will be regarded as little more than a bad faith and hypocritical attack on the Democratic front runner.

Bernie's 6O minutes take was bad because the literacy program was also an indoctrination program. His takes from back in the day were trash too. But people are blowing this way out of proportion.

Bernie gotta be smarter though. If you are trying to make a nuanced point, at least make it sound nuanced.

Every country’s educational system has its point of view which it travels students. American schools teach that enslaved Africans came as “migrant workers” and that the lands stolen from indigenous peoples were “untamed” and “virgin wilderness.”

I’m no expert on the cariculum in Cuba schools but I’m pretty confident that it’s more in tune with the lived experiences of non white people ,in the Western Hemisphere, than what is taught in our schools.

Was hoping of proof along the lines of an article via an internet hyperlink

article from 2015

"The resources Fidel received from the Soviet Union funded a massive increase in new institutions. At the end of the 1960s there were over 30,000 students at technical schools and 40,000 at universities, compared to 6,000 and 2,0000, respectively, in 1958. The government opened many new schools in the remote rural regions of Cuba."

I spoke from my knowledge from living in the Caribbean and speaking to Lucians that lived and worked in Cuba.

But here:
https://www.vox.com/2020/2/24/21147388/bernie-sanders-cuba-60-minutes-nicaragua

“Under Fidel Castro, education became universal — but he also stipulated that anyone who received this education would have to actively promote government policies both during and after their schooling,” the authors wrote. “They would also be required to take government-approved courses that didn’t tolerate any criticism of socialism as a way of life. In other words, education was seen as key to the revolution taking hold and creating a literate population loyal to the government.”

Bernie sanders opponents setting themselves for the okie doke if there plan is to attack Bernie on **** he said in the 80's.

There isn't any actual evidence those attacks are effective.

Bucks at Raptors vs Democratic Debate....which one you watching tonight?

Yeah, every country feed their populous BS to keep them somewhat ignorant. But Cuba is another level imo.

When I was a kid in St. Lucia, we were free to criticize the government, even organize protest against the government in class. This was middle and high school. On the other hand my dad got jailed for a night and deported out of Cuba because he ran his mouth about the government being **** when he went there for an engineering course and went out drinking with some friends. 20 years later when he needed heart surgery they won't let him back in, and he had to go to Martinique.

Tons of Lucians that went to Cuba have personally told me how next level it is.

So for people to act like Cuba is just like any place else is seems wrong to me.

On aggregate, Castro was trash.

Big debate for Bernie, if he comes into this debate, with the target on his back and is STILL able to dominate.

it would be proof positive that he is the most electable candidate.
