What a great man to award the Presidential Medal of Freedom. The NYT article wrote his comments in a weird font for reason so I retyped them. I have added some other comments from other articles. I double-checked to verify the authenticity of the comments.
I wonder what it was about him that Trump liked so much to bestow him with such an honor. Trump described Limbaugh as "the greatest fighter and winner that you will ever meet”, “a special man, beloved by millions of Americans", and thanked him for his "decades of tireless devotion to our country."
Many Republicans gave a standing ovation when Trump awarded the medal to Limbaugh during the SOTU. Other recipients of the medal include civil rights icons such as Martin Luther King and Rosa Parks.

Rush Limbaugh in His Own Words
A collection of comments from the latest recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

On the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People:
"The NAACP should have riot rehearsal. They should get a liquor store and practice robberies"

On athletes in the National Football League:
"The NFL all too often looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips without any weapons. There, I said it."

On whether black people's voices on issues should be heard more:
"They are 12 percent of the population. Who the hell cares?"

On wanted posters of criminals:
"Have you ever noticed how all composite pictures of wanted criminals resemble Jesse Jackson?"

On the NBA:
"I think it's time to get rid of this whole National Basketball Association. Call it the TBA, the Thug Basketball Association, and stop calling them teams. Call 'em gangs."
"You look at NBA players and the uniforms, you don’t have to go back very far. The uniforms have changed totally. They’re now in gang colors."

On slavery:
"If any race of people should not have guilt about slavery, it's Caucasians. The white race has probably had fewer slaves and for a briefer period of time than any other in the history of the world ... And yet white guilt is still one of the dominating factors in American politics. It's exploited, it's played upon, it is promoted, used, and it's unnecessary."

On whether the massacre of Native Americans is comparable to the World War II Holocaust:
"Holocaust? Ninety million Indians? Only four million left? They all have casinos — what’s to complain about?

On Obama's presidency:
"It amplified malcontent operations like Black Lives Matter. It gave rise to a thugocracy, and nobody had the guts to speak out against it for fear of what would happen to them."

On Africa:
"Everything in Africa's called AIDS. The reason is they get aid money for it. AIDS is the biggest pile of, the biggest pot they throw money into."

On an incident where a white person was beaten up by a black student on a bus:
"We need segregated buses. In Obama's America the white kids now get beat up with the black kids cheering 'yeah, right on, right on, right on."

On a black listener who called in during his radio show:
"Take that bone out of your nose and call me back"

On racism:
"If homosexuality being inborn is what makes it acceptable, why does racism being inborn not make racism acceptable?

On Michelle Obama getting booed at NASCAR, claiming people didn't like paying millions of dollars for her travel:
"[Critics] understand it's a little bit of a waste. They understand it’s a little bit of uppity-ism."

On Spike Lee's film Malcolm X:
"Spike, if you’re going to do that, let’s complete the education experience. You should tell them that they should loot the theater, and then blow it up on their way out."

On Hu Jintao, the former president of China, speaking without a translator:
"Hu Jintao was just going, “Ching cha. Ching chang cho chow. Cha Chow. Ching Cho. Chi ba ba ba. Kwo kwa kwa kee. Cha ga ga. Ching chee chay. Ching zha bo ba. Chang cha. Chang cho chi che. Cha dee. Ooooh chee bada ba. Jee jee cho ba.” Nobody was translating, but that’s the closest I can get."

The dude I work with loves this guy it's like his god.

Dude is such a piece of spit.

Like the worst person you can interact with in life

See you’re adding that one little piece that wasn’t in the article...at the direction of Trump.

You literally just made that up.

I thought the justice department was independent of the White House. Is that not the case?

Keep playing stupid with your answers
Smh, I supported due process.... and....

This shows an increase from the 8%. I wouldn't be surprised if he was at 15-20% by the election.

Then again maybe you are not playing.......

"If he actually said this, it's awful. I have always maintained that the racists I empower should do better, or else I'll have no choice but to continue voting for them."

Approval rating =/= percentage of total black vote.

Many of those dwalk31 dwalk31 's out there could be accidental voter suppression victims.

We'll see soon though.

I'm sure dwalk31 dwalk31 commented on it.

Pete somehow appears to be mounting a strong challenge to Biden for front-runner among the centrist candidates, a surprising development on a number of fronts.

So while I don’t think anyone in here outside of deuce king deuce king would find a Biden candidacy very exciting—maybe osh kosh bosh osh kosh bosh would feel the same about a Pete candidacy—who would the rest of y’all rather see if, God help us, it came down to these two? And why?

I feel like I follow this stuff pretty closely and I still don't know if I can really articulate any of Pete's policies

he doesn’t spend as much time as he should going into detail in the debates, but their website lays out most of his proposed plans pretty well

But generally you can say the same for a lot of these candidates plans. Everyone of them has some sort of grand ambitious plan on what they will do when they are president but pretty much none of the candidates have spoken about how they will pay for the plans. That’s my biggest concern about Bernie. He has grand plans to make everything affordable but by all accounts his proposed plans would create 90 trillion dollars in debt over a 10 year window so since they exceed the 1.5 trillion dollar a year budget deficit threshold, he we would need to get 60 votes in the senate to pass which is going to be virtually impossible in the current political climate.
