The Trump administration is "looking at" the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act after complaints from companies arguing against the ban on foreign bribery. DOJ just secured a $3.9 billion fine using that law.

True. But those who didn't show up in 2016 will come out in full force now. His ineptitude, the constant lies, the corruption it's all on display and the administration doesn't give a damn. Voters are seeing this and they aren't happy. That is what will be the difference from then to now.

All these senators saying they dont need witnesses to come to the conclusion the president committed impeachable offenses. Surely they'll vote to convict and remove then!

A brief summary of some of the more extreme arguments the Trump WH, Trump's personal attorneys and the and Barr DOJ have been concurrently arguing:
- A president can't be impeached for blanket defiance of any and all congressional subpoenas, courts should decide subpoena disputes (WH)
- The executive branch has absolute immunity from being compelled to provide testimony or documents (DOJ OLC/WH)
- Courts have no right to intervene in congressional subpoena disputes, remedy for non-compliance is impeachment (DOJ)
- The president can't be subject to any criminal investigation. Even if he were to shoot someone on 5th avenue, authorities can not investigate (Trump attorneys)
- All Inspector Generals' formerly independent determinations can be overruled (DOJ OLC)
