If ever there was a time for a revolution.

A real revolution involving soldiers dropping their weapons and coming the **** home, now's the time.

It's 2020 baby. We too grown for this ****.

No word on potential US casualties yet. Worth noting that the base does host coalition troops but it largely consists of Iraqi forces.

Iran's Revolutionary Guard says they're firing a second salvo of missiles. Tweet was posted 5 minutes ago.

Edit: Corrected rockets to missiles. Missiles are guided, whereas rockets just fire in whatever direction you point them.

Was gonna post this before **** started hitting the fan but it's even more relevant now

The regime was going through a period of a lot of uncertainty and instability with rising distrust an protests against them yet the geniuses in Washington thought to drop them a life line by martyring a national hero that was revered across ideological and generational lines and uniting what was a bitterly divided population.

Been many reports over the last few days about the outrage, anger and flag rallying around the country by even the moderates and reformers who were on the streets protesting against the government just a few weeks ago. The millions on the streets mourning was only strengthened the regime and sparked widespread calls for revenge in much of the population.

On the other side, you can't really say that the majority of the US populace has much of is any appetite or resolve for another long drawn out conflict that will cost trillions and affect millions and be more destructive than any in their lifetimes...

Man, I hate this BS but honestly speaking, this is not like I'm going to be a bigger man and walk away.

I really see no way we can de escalate this BS. Unless we go in there and just kill individual leadership.

Unless it's to announce his resignation, he should probably just shut the **** up

With a more powerful and much larger army, giant missile stockpile, deadly proxies around the globe backed by the one of the worlds 2 foremost nuclear powers on top of some of the most rugged mountainous terrain in the world...

All out conflict would be beyond ugly, legit nightmare scenario status man |l

All these reasons are why even the most reckless and bloodthirsty administration ever prior to this one, avoided full scale conflict and why even nuclear armed Israel has avoided direct conflict for years with preference for proxy warfare around the region

hum... looks like the nightmare is becoming reality...

Said it was a powderkeg moment right after the assassination, the orange maniac had ZERO idea of the ramifications and magnitude of what he did...

He legit ignited the match and tossed it onto a leaking propane tank that's now about to engulf an entire region of the world in flames |l |l

Some good news amidst these horrible circumstances

Hoping the few remaining adults in the room can somehow get through and talk a bit of sense overnight before we cross the point of no return.

War benefits absolutely no one on all sides but a select few with vested interests that couldn't care less about impacting regular peoples lives.

For the worlds sake, cooler heads need to prevail but I don't know how many are left in the WH
