That's EXACTLY what they do. There is still an adjustment on the 9/11 death toll to this day for first responders who breathed in carcinogenic dust to save others. Seriously, be quiet.

Seriously, learn to read.

Show me wher e in my reply did I say that. No, I didn't, I said that's what his response was when I told him that they're counting the 3000+ deaths as the after effects of the hurricane.

He replied with the 9/11 toll count saying they do not add the deaths years later and I didn't have a response because I thought he was right so we went about our day. I'm not going to lie I didn't know if they counted all those deaths from the the after effects of 9/11 so that's why I didn't respond to him. I never said that so calm down.

You're typing too fast man, its partially incoherent. Not a slight, that's really what's happening. I feel like you're trying to say some old guy said these things but not explaining it correctly.

He's not a old guy he's like in his 40's or early 50's... I asked him he's 51 form East Meadow, NY.

We banter back and forth a lot about Trump, but I try not to because sometimes I get annoyed especially with like the killing of minorities and his answer is always Chi, Balt, etc.

I ask him about stupid stuff Trump has done and he's always on his P's and Q's I'll give him that and has an answer for mostly everything.

Sometimes I find myself seeing his side of the coin, but quickly come back to reality when I think of the privledge he's had at the job.

I sometimes come into this thread and try to read the replies and see where it stands compared to me and his beliefs.

Dude had me almost doubting Nike because he know's I'm with Kap, but tried to make me think that Nike is only doing it as a business move and doesn't really care about the cause behind the message.

Edit - that we are being misled by Democrats that are actually the ones that cause a lot of issues with minorities.

I'll be back with that later because I had to stay quiet about that but what he told me had thinking .

I don't disagree that nike is doing this for profit, but I think that's irrelevant. You don't get a cookie for recognizing that a corporation does things for profit. The takeaway though that we should not be distracted from is Kaep and his cause now has more visibility, a bigger platform, funding etc.

You are literally posting someone else words, without a disclaimer, without context, and you are upset when people attribute them to you.

And this apprently not the first time it has happened.

Famb to be honest, you need to structure your post better because even your explainers are confusing. You jump back and forth between your thoughts and your coworkers thoughts clumsily. Like use quotation marks at least.

So your logic is that since people didn't die when the storm hit, but instead by conditions caused by the storm, their deaths don't really count. So, if someone is killed by a levy breaking after Katrina, their death should be put aside too?

Your entire argument seems based on not understanding how death tallies work for natural disasters.
I'm so glad you're here to ask the questions that need to be asked when people say dumb **** like 'they died from a lack of electricity after the storm, not the actual storm.'

Jesus Christ, some of you need to take a serious look at your logic.

You sound easily persuaded.

No shots.

Placing the focus on Nike doing it for money and not Kaep with corporate backing and support going into a legal case with the NFL is just another way of muddling up the discussion.

I'm just disheartened to see so many people who I saw as allies in this employing a lot of that nonsensical logic to form an opinion on something.

2975 is the official death count accepted by the Puerto Rican government.

The National Hurricane Center, a federal agency, logged the official death toll at 65 in an April report, though they noted that number was uncertain. The report also noted “hundreds of additional indirect deaths in Puerto Rico may eventually be attributed to Maria’s aftermath pending the results of an official government review.”

I mean if I shoot someone can you say the bullet didn’t kill you it was the bleeding?

Is it possible that people died as a result of the after effects from the hurricane like no electricity, food, water, then yes that is possible. If that's what they're adding into the tally to bring the numbers up to 3000 then I can see where they're getting such a high number from.

Well that's the entire method. Whatchu think they should only count the deaths that resulted from a direct lightning bolt strike?

Amazon says mine should be here oct 2. Thinking about stopping by the book store on my way home to see if they have any copies. Or i could just download to my kindle, but i prefer a hard copy.

Andrew Gillum once you're sworn in, Pack The Court.

That's the solution to much of the GOP's attempts at permanent minority rule, you pack the court at the State and Federal level.

I know there's the threat that they might come back into power and pack the court in there favor. So what, we, the left, still win because we've effectively neutralized the judiciary as a conservative check on progressive legislative majorities.

Finally got my hands on my pre-order copy of Woodward's book today. 2 days post release after 2 delays from the huge demand.
Y'all picked up the book as well? I know there's at least a few people here who did.
