Muslim Ban: President Obama's ban was a temporary ban due to a specific threat during 2011. It was not directed towards Muslims just towards Iraqi refugees trying to enter the country. Even during the "ban", some were still allowed to enter the country but under more intense screening.
Wall: You agree that it's a waste of money yet still defend it? Why doesn't trump talk about the people that overstay their visas from other countries around the world? Have you forgotten that his wife came to the US on a work visa and when it expired she continued to work illegally? Got married to trump, brought her parents over and had "anchor babies". This is a common occurrence among many people who come to the US. Once their visas expire they stay in the country, work illegally and get married. There's no mention of people from mostly white countries doing this. They aren't called rapists and drug dealers...Nobody is looking for them.
Separating Children at the border: Before the "zero tolerance" policy made by trump, crossing the border illegally was not a crime. You would be processed and your case would be considered if you were eligible for asylum. If not, you would be sent back to your home country. Kids weren't getting lost. Kids weren't going to immigration courts on their own. Kids weren't getting molested and dying in custody.
It seems that the issues that bother you the most have to deal with people of color that speak a different language and have different religious beliefs. You're basically just like those trump supporters at the rallies but you use a different tone. You try to fool people on here by telling us your "educated" and it's all about the policies...
When it comes to immigration in the US, there are two broad categories: those without status and those with status. Having a status means you're assigned to a category (citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or all non-immigrant visas). Not having a status means not fitting in any of the categories above. Your status (or lack thereof) is not determined until after you present your case (if you have filed the proper application) in front of an immigration official either within the borders or outside of them. What that means is, an event like illegal entry doesn't automatically makes one an illegal immigrant until after it has been proven that they do not satisfy the conditions for refugee status.
