I'm not asking facetiously but why is that teacher from Florida referred to as a white nationalist and not say a white supremacist, bigot, or racist across all the media that is covering her. She did not only call for white separatism (which even alone would be transparent,) but also said explicitly racist things (anti-Semitism, eradication of Muslims, etc.)
Imo calling it "white nationalism" is normalizing these views as some respectable alternative White, pro-America view, and doesn't condemn it toughly enough.

Because to white America being called a racist is worse than actually being a racist. So they come up with all these cute terms to obfuscate what these people are at their core. Probably because they see themselves in some of these people and to condemn them in such a way would serve doubly as a condemnation of themselves.
