Looking like May blew her majority. A complete and utter failure for the conservatives.

Britain's Conservative Party will be the largest party but may not have a majority, says an exit poll after the UK's snap general election.

The survey taken at polling stations across the UK suggests the party could get 314 MPs when all the results have been counted in Thursday's poll.

Labour would get 266, the Lib Dems 14, UKIP none and the SNP 34, the NOP/Ipsos MORI poll for BBC/ITV/Sky suggests.

The first official results are due before midnight local time (23:00 GMT).

The final result is expected by Friday lunchtime.

Prime Minister Theresa May said she called the snap election to try to strengthen her hand in negotiations with the European Union on Brexit.

But if the exit poll is borne out by results, analysts say the PM will have made a terrible error.

The pound fell sharply after the exit poll  as traders had been expected a lead for Mrs May's party with an overall majority in the House of Commons.

The pound was $1.2792 against the dollar, losing about a cent-and-a-half.

The exit poll suggests the Conservatives would be 12 short of an overall majority.

It suggests Labour would gain 34 seats, the Conservatives would lose 17 seats, the Lib Dems would gain six and the SNP lose 22 seats.

The Green Party would be unchanged with one seat and Plaid Cymru would still have three MPs, according to the poll.

In total, 30,450 people were interviewed as they exited from 144 polling stations across the UK.

A total of 650 Westminster MPs will be elected, with about 45.8 million people entitled to vote.

Some votes had been cast before Thursday through postal voting, which accounted for 16% of the total electorate at the 2015 general election, when the overall turnout was 66%.

Man, thank you all for helping me find some inkling of joy in this mess.:lol
Obummer did make a mess (and a mockery) of our country, but that's probably because he wasn't from OUR country, if you know what I mean.

But don't worry, Comrade Bronx. Da don is busy fixing da mess at a historical pace. If it wasn't for "da cloud" and Crooked Comey, he could spend even more time and money on fixing da country and getting Americans BACK TO WORK B.

Now with Teresa May gaining da power in England, there's nothing da two of them can't do. America is back! Choo Choo mother *******! Da trump train is powered by da coal and it doesn't stop for nobody. Hop on or get out of da way. Da libbies tears won't stop us now.

Marc Kasowitz is a longtime attorney for Donald Trump or, as he put it in a letter released today in response to former FBI Director James Comey’s Senate testimony, he’s Predisent Trump’s personal lawyer.

From that opening typo, the letter goes on to make a number of remarkable claims, including the assertion that Comey lied under oath about Trump’s demand of loyalty, the assertion that even though Trump did not make the loyalty demand “he is entitled to expect loyalty from those serving in an administration,” and the strange claim that executive privilege somehow prevents Comey from voluntarily  discussing his conversations with Trump with the public.

But even more remarkably, the typo in the first line is not even the only typo in the letter. Kasowitz also misspells the name of Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats.

There is a real pattern of Donald Trump’s sometimes sloppy work being exacerbated by shoddy staff work.

Wednesday night, for example, the White House press office released a readout of his phone call “with Crown Prince Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the United Arab Emirates.” There is no crown prince of the United Arab Emirates. The guy Trump spoke to is the crown prince of Abu Dhabi.

It’s true that the Emir of Abu Dhabi invariably ends up serving as the president of the United Arab Emirates, and thus the crown prince of Abu Dhabi is also  the heir apparent to the UAE presidency. But there is a whole State Department full of people who are available to help the White House with these protocol issues, and Trump’s team seems incapable of calling on them.

Amazingly, the White House even responded to a request for comment from the Huffington Post earlier this month about why so many conservatives think the administration is incompetent with a statement that included a typo.

The bigger point here isn’t the typos — anyone can make mistakes. It’s more revealing about the attention to detail from Trump and the people Trump has working for him.

The biggest law firms in the country seem to be largely taking a pass on defending Trump, since they think an unpopular and undisciplined client would end up reflecting poorly on the firm. That’s left Trump in the hands of a kind of legal C-team, which is really his problem. But deploying the same sloppy approach to substantive policy work is a problem for the country.

Who is gonna form a government with the Tories, The Liberal Dems? :lol

If so, May's hold energy gonna have to change.

This goes out to you baby girl...............

Congrats you played yaself :lol

She gambled by calling an early election when she felt Labour was at its weakest only for it to backfire epically and have her actually losing seats, her majority and most likely her job as PM :rollin :rollin :rollin

@PeterAlexander: NEW: During Senate Intel Cmte's closed session today, senators learned about a 3rd, previously undisclosed meeting w Sessions & Russian(s)

Heh...dude is in a pickle right now

Kamala Harris used many of her questions at Comeys hearing today to kind of pave the way for an investigation of Sessions

As a former prosecutor and AG,she knew Comey couldn't answer a lot of them but she put the ones with Sessions in the crosshairs on the record for Mueller

She must've been a relentless/tough AG

Not trying to throw shade, but McCain should probably consider getting a medical checkup.
What he said here isn't even remotely close to whatever that was during the hearing. It was just nonsensical rambling
Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator John McCain (R-AZ) released the following statement today on his questions at today’s Senate Intelligence Committee hearing with former FBI Director James Comey:

“I get the sense from Twitter that my line of questioning today went over people’s heads. Maybe going forward I shouldn’t stay up late watching the Diamondbacks night games.

“What I was trying to get at was whether Mr. Comey believes that any of his interactions with the President rise to the level of obstruction of justice. In the case of Secretary Clinton’s emails, Mr. Comey was willing to step beyond his role as an investigator and state his belief about what ‘no reasonable prosecutor’ would conclude about the evidence. I wanted Mr. Comey to apply the same approach to the key question surrounding his interactions with President Trump—whether or not the President’s conduct constitutes obstruction of justice. While I missed an opportunity in today’s hearing, I still believe this question is important, and I intend to submit it in writing to Mr. Comey for the record.”

DA ARIZONA MAVERICK needs to drink more Covfefe B. EXTREMELY low energy.

Anyone following the UK General election? May shot herself in the foot with this election. Conservatives won't lose but they'll have lost seats for sure.
