The craziest part of stagflation is studies show even when people are doing well, they stop buying because they don't believe their prosperity will last forever, because reality is nothing is assured to vr forever. It's the struggle they see around them which is a root cause of stagflation. Lack of consumer confidence and why presidents have between Carter until now moved mountains to put money in regular people’s pockets.

The whole neoliberal order than existed until…. Well now…. Was based on the push for consumers to never question the idea of never ending growth? Prosperity is the American Dream.

Yup. No more yearly phone, no more eating out like we used to, no more clothes just because. Really just the things off the top of my head. Selective isn’t even the word. the things I (we as a family) used to do aren’t even looked at as options. Just complete lifestyle changes

Funny thing is, we have more now than we’ve ever had. If I was brining in what I was 8-10 years ago I’d be explaining why we’re giving up the house lol. People who haven’t made serious moves in the past couple years have to be hurting. If you were paycheck to paycheck in 2022, you’re in the soup kitchen today without a doubt

This is what they probably thought they wanted but no way are they all cool with having to run every other year until they retire (or die) cause Graham’s sister took their spot. Especially behind closed doors.

The oligarchy fiefdom system of government probably seemed cool to all of them until they can't actually run for a open Senate seat because the president gave it to the deceased Senator’s sister.

I also don't think it works like it use to because once again they haven't got anywhere near the point of recreating the racial hierarchy they want and there are no jobs. Initially the plan was they fire people, and then were supposed to put federal agencies in the south and rehire MAGA and white poor people. However, the reality of what they did to cut taxes means there are no jobs for Trump to give people.

Republican politicians are not shy about getting into politics to exercise more control/power over society. I don’t think they care that much if Grahams sister takes his spot as long as the gravy train keeps rolling.

This country sucks now. Depression is at an all time high for a lot of people. If you got money, you fine, but if you are a paycheck to paycheck person, believe me, you think of taking that shortcut to the parking garage from the 5h floor., every ******* day!!
