had like a 2 hour talk with this late 40s white dude about how america changed
and he wants it to go back to how it was
and i dont know why they think a presidential candidate will do that
that america is gone

They think that because their social media algorithms told them Trump could do that. The lies were so blatant Trump keeps trying to lower expectations in his interviews.

The irony, a tenured professor labeling private companies as bureaucracies is a little self serving no? lol

I will say, hating bureaucracy in and of itself is sheer lunacy.....

5 years ago, all my friends and "passport bros" in tech were telling me how much of a fool I was for working at a big firm, all these rules, in the office blah blah blah. Well, a few layoffs later and guess whos still employed and guess who is coming to who asking what having a brand name looks like on a resume

Also, on a darker note, several women I know have been mistreated, harassed or both in the workplace and its always at a small firm, never at a big one. This is of course anecdotal and obviously bad things and bad actors happen at large firms, but my point remains. Bureauocracy has it's benefits.

I think Dems can be more honest about the downfalls of bureaucracy and certain aspects of our government and the waste that exacerbates the debt and opacity that Republicans feast on in their yearly election lies.

I also think Republicans can be honest about some of the positives that Bureauocracy brings, some of which are really essential to the slow moving pace of Change that Republicans claim to want (they don't)

Theres a reason it's called corporate politics, but to say that government waste is equivalent to private waste is disingenuous at best.

The Democratic message, vote for us to prevent GOP chaos and ruin, only works when voters feel like they have something to lose.

I may disagree with them but I can understand why young people, who can’t afford to rent an apartment now, can’t start a family in the near term, and can’t see a decent long term future due to climate change, decided to go accelerationist and rug pull the Democrats, who have fully become known as the rich old people party.

Takes quite some time for an H1B to be eligible to apply for a green card and you need a company to sponsor your, unless you get married to an American citizen.
