She was literally out there on the trail with "Those who lean right and aren't hardcore conservatives"

Gbs2HZ5WQAYlBRw.jpeg

And it got her NOTHING.

What is the point to keep moving center if the center just keeps moving right?

Is it even the center anymore? Those times are dead man

she did some speeches with republicans. she didn't give them anything on policy.

Say Trump turns into Biden in 2-3 years, and if he steps down for Vance to take over, is he worse than Trump?
I don’t think so. I believe he saw this as a strategic opportunity and took it. He likely disagrees with many of Trump’s policies, but turning down a life-changing opportunity just to take a stand might not have seemed worth it to him.

the reason i blame the left is they literally have never won anything ever and they have no theory of how you would win a senate majority.
without a generational superstar or a global pandemic.

Im a much more left wing person than the average american.
but im honest i don't lie to myself and act like people love every left wing policy that i like.

the most successful candidates, moderate on key issues, this is just ancient political wisdom. but for some reason from likw 2016-2020 we all forgot this.

and some of these losers are trying to run the "bernie would have won" strat again.
its insane to indulge this.
Joe Rogan is the bellweather for this country. That populations is far more receptive to the Bernie left than the Biden left, and ultimately, that’s the population that they’re failing to convince to vote for them.

I agreee with you about policy being secondary but what people see is how phony and fake the Democratic Party is. there is not a single moral issue they won’t sell out, be it climate change, racial equality etc. to pander to the center if they view that as the correct play.

Trump is a conman and a crook but is open about it in a way that grants him authenticity that you’re neolib/neocon favs can never have because they ultimately don’t care and don’t have a vision to sell anyone besides being reactive to whatever they perceive being the center.

I don’t want to rehash the Bernie thing again, but the reality is the only time the party can come together is when they come together to crush the left. It took a coordinated movement of centrist dem dropping out to stop Bernie in 2020. I lived through it, it happened, you can’t pretend it didn’t. Maybe he wouldn’t have won the election after like Biden did, but he was going to be the candidate and we never got see how it would play out. Now some of those same people are voting for Trump, cause that’s the reality.

America votes mainly on culture and vibe and the vibe of the Dems is BAD.

No, what that says to me is that Democrats just weren't enthused about the candidate they were given. Looking at Trump's numbers from 2020, he actually has 3 million less overall voters so it's not like he did anything special... Harris simply didn't have support. Tbh the left has always been lukewarm on Biden/Harris.. they're both generic centrists and the people who vote left are tired of that. I don't understand why they continue to try to appeal to these 'undecided' people who never vote for them. The right caters to no one but their base, the Dems need to follow the same the game plan. I do believe that most people are inherently fall under the Democrat side but you need candidates that appeal to that. The DNC has no one to blame but themselves. They need to start pushing actual left leaning leaders instead of centrists that appeal to everyone.
To add to this point

That's 100% a massive fumble all things considered given the stakes and felt entirely avoidable immediately when Biden dropped out.

Gonna end up being a historic wasted opportunity

These are uncertain times ahead, with the presidency, House, and Senate all controlled by Republicans, and a particularly radical president at the helm. It’s hard to know what’s in store. Let’s stay hopeful and PRAY!

Do you have a source for his thinking on this? Because this isn’t even what he said himself

He was concerned with government process, not specifically saving the Republican Party.

a politicians stated reasons is different than his actual reasons???!!

Like you think that John McCain wouldn't have passed popular republican party on a party line vote?

he would have been like nah even tho this will win us the election im a process guy?

I think you are buying into the McCain mythology too much.

Repealing the ACA was bad politics. John McCain was one of the few politicians in a position to say no.

Student loans ended up being a clear sign of weakness for Dems. They weren’t able to pass any legislation and the Trump SC shot it down swiftly. All of the anger went towards the Biden admin for not passing what they promised.

and it's a total coincidence, dems are improving with college educated women voters, and continuing lose non college educated men? really?

Obama told them why its important to vote and they literally complained that he was "preaching to the wrong crowd"

We have to hold young black men accountable for not being informed with current events and policy and how voting at all levels impacts them directly
I mean Obama’s messaging clearly didn’t work. We have to educate young Black men and create spaces where they’re not consuming this echo chamber of ill informed social media personalities. That’s their version of socializing these days and we aren’t doing enough to combat it

student debt relief is the canary in coal mine, for the problems with the dem coalition.

student loan debt relief is an inflationary regressive policy that benefits doctors and lawyers the most.

I think it shows how captured the dems are by the interests of college educated voters that they thought this was "popular"

Is don jr gonna be given a position to groom him for 28? Vance won’t be the guy.

I mean, the party has to take responsibility for getting their message to folks in a way at that’s easily understandable

another thing that the Dems need to understand and counter.
I think they get the message out with influencers, the issue is they endorse extremist like Hassan who will turn most people off. Gotta find more likeable people. But, this is just a loose thread in a whole suit off issues.

Still need to see Republicans win a cycle without Trump on the ticket. The “red wave” was just 2 years ago. He’s a a generational candidate. Gotta give him his flowers :{ We saw what happened to DeSantis and how fast he flamed out.

If Gavin Newsom runs in 2028, and I think he will, I don't see the Republicans winning.

and it's a total coincidence, dems are improving with college educated women voters, and continuing lose non college educated men? really
The extrapolations you’re making here is quite a reach. Dems are losing with non college educated men because of the student loan forgiveness? We both know that isn’t true

a politicians stated reasons is different than his actual reasons???!!
Yea, his actual reason were likely this longstanding grudge with Trump and not some noble plan to save the Republican Party. Let’s be serious here.

Is don jr gonna be given a position to groom him for 28? Vance won’t be the guy.

That's what I believe

Not necessarily Don Jr, but I think he will start grooming an heir to Trump World

I'm not really buying in to the "he's going to make himself president forever" hysteria

Yet

OKB will be like “the Dems have to stop being the party of the elite.”

Then you point out the elite crushed the Bernie movement which was made up hundreds of thousands of small working-class donors with massive cross-racial, working class appeal and he be like “the Bernie left is the problem with the party.”

Winnings peoples vote has to start with getting a candidate outside of the party to be honest, that’s how toxic the centrist are because no body trusts them or likes them at this point. They have no beliefs besides maintaining their stranglehold on the party. The republicans have beliefs even if they’re evil imo, they fight for them and have a vision centered around them.

Basically, male chauvism, patriarchy, misogyny and sexism is the rule and law of the land. These values are up in full swing these last few years. It is telling some demographics of women and BIPOC/non-white immigrant families
language like this is the reason why

it has nothing to do with "pitting us against each other"

people think this language is weird and alienating and it makes the democrats look like the "maniacal corrupt elites"

there is no andrew tate conspiracy.

running on freedom, equality, and old fashioned don't be racist.
is great, people like that. do that.

no not because of that one reason,

student debt relief is just a great example that shows of how captured dems are by the interests of college educated and the weakness of issue polling.

just brass tax, it's an inflationary, regressive policy, that mostly benefits women.

you can do it if you want, but acting like its some broadley popular thing based off of some issue polling just shows dems blind spots with non college educated,

Would they have voted for Biden? Y’all do remember the campaign stated 2 years ago? Kamala was only an option the past 3 months… what about the 21 months be before?
Probably not, but thats what im saying. Its a huge disconnect I feel like with the party and the black community in 2024. This aint the 90's no more.
Obama told them why its important to vote and they literally complained that he was "preaching to the wrong crowd"

I just feel like young black men get bullied a lot for lacking some information. But the dems still have the black women vote on lock. So its like they aren't listening to the brothers no more. And I feel like with immigration and stuff our voice is getting less and less important. Which is why ppl like Charleston, Ye, and others can rise cuz they give a message that ****** can relate to

Yea unfortunately the kids won't save us either...

The boys especially are neck deep in that red pill/trad revivalist stuff that's been finely tuned and targeted directly at them throughout their formative years :{

Def', unfortunately

I don't really care about student loan debt, but it's also not a divisive issue. There aren't really huge amounts of people against it, or would rally to stop it. Play to your base, you want to help black people out instead of Kamala's crypto plan? Black Americans carry the most student loan debt. You think doing things that appeal to the people who will actually vote for you is a bad electoral strategy for some reason.

At the end of the day, voters in general (not specific to the US or any country) are not the brightest. I would use a far more harsher and more accurate description but I can't without getting banned.
You gotta cater to the lowest common denominator to some degree at least.

An increasingly significant aspect holding Dems back imo is that a small portion of the base are willing to shoot themselves in the foot and spray everyone else down with them just for the sake of some kind of moral grandstanding about voting third party or not voting at all. Those kind of people don't really exist in the Republican base.
Again, I would describe these kind of people much differently but I can't without getting banned.

Oh no, the candidate isn't my perfect fantasyland imagination of what I want, better vote third party or stay home and then morally grandstand. Oh poor little privileged child, shut the **** up and cry about it later. It's literally as simple as picking whichever you deem more or less beneficial.
