I like to think that it's mostly older people voting right now is a good sign, but who really knows. Not that familiar with Penn, but if some of these were blood red counties last time and they're (so far) not as red now would be good also. I suppose the negative side would be to point out more Repubs probably are going to vote in person.

Elon is bad, Twitter is bad, Peter Thiel is bad ect. but what exactly is to be done about this?

Rich right wing people aren't going away,

Dems have to find a way to win in spite of all that.

Yeah.. has to be said that progressives are by and large, awful at messaging to young men

I think it's a demo that often does take some time to change their worldview. Castigating immediately is a good way to lose the audience

This

And also Scam Jones will do like 100 applications with 100 stolen social security numbers.

I think it’s a good program but scammers will be attracted to this program like ants at a picnic. There needs to be robust protections against them bleeding the program out.

He’s talking about video games like he’s a politician in 1996.

Harris’ campaign needs to advertise this on gaming forums.

Throwing trans people under the bus is a great way to signal to other marginalized groups that you’ll always have their backs.

🚃 🚎 🚌

can you identity the "marginalized group" that polls 50%+ on trans women in women's sports?

better q, can you identity the "marginalized group" in Texas

that polls 50%+ on trans women in women's sports?

Allread would be a step in the right direction.

I haven't been a big fan of the way he's done some things, but I'll deal with it if it means no more Cruz. I'm not sure how many people are going to watch this debate for it to make a difference. He'd probably need a 2-3 point bump to have a chance.

1.) if rights are contingent on having good poll numbers, they are t actually rights.

2.) Dems go to bat for Goldman-Sachs, George W Bush, and Bibi Netanyahu. They can stand with trans people. Moreover, Harris is currently and proudly campaigning with the Cheney family, the father left with a 13% approval rating and the daughter lost her primary,

3.) I understand that what’s most important is winning this election but you don’t win it by getting drawn into an arms race over who hates trans teenagers more. Democrats will always lose that one.

There’s several ways to redirect to more favorable topics which replies like,

“Ted, you venerate the constitution, what role do US Senators play in deciding youth sports policy.”

“My opponent spends an unhealthy amount of time thinking about teenagers bodies, I’m concerned with normal people issues like (insert kitchen table issues)”

“Ted, can you name a few instances where a trans female athlete won first place by a substantial margin, organized high school and/or college. Because ya girl, Riley Gains got 5th place, she’s a loser like you.”

Or keep it vague while producing no sound bites that the GOP can use out of context, such as,

“Girls should play girls sports, next question.”

playing in a sport segregated by sex is not a right.

if cruz said, "Trans people shouldn't be allowed to work, shouldn't be allowed access to housing, should be turned away from open accommodations."

Im sure Allred would have dissented

it's fine if he does a tactical retreat on this one weird issue nobody supports.

They are campaigning with the cheney family because they need the 9% of republicans to win a close election. What swing constituents does Trans women in sports deliver?

You aren't addressing the fact that this is about trans women in sports. not about trans rights. Nobody is competing over trans teenagers. hating trans people is not popular. most people support LGBT rights.

just not trans sports. you have to engage with this reality instead of creating straw men.

“Ted, you venerate the constitution, what role do US Senators play in deciding youth sports policy.”

these are insane answers to give in a TEXAS senate debate. people aren't dumb they can tell when you don't answer a question.

the public is supportive of lgbt rights there is literally ZERO reason to bite the bullet on such a niche issue that polls underwater even with DEMOCRATS.

progressives have deluded themselves into believing that you can continue moving to the left on various cultural and face zero electoral consequences,

somehow you can maintain more moderate black and latino moderate support while way to the left of these groups culturally. at some point there is a consequence, and we are seeing it today.

as black and latino support erodes. at some point you have to wake up face reality.

personally

i pretty much support mass immigration, Id let in damn near anyone that claimed asylum and give them work visas.
i support pedestrianizing huge sections of cities, id abolish basically all zoning. i would support bulldozing entire communities to build a high speed rail from new york to montreal.
i support congestion pricing, carbon pricing.

but I don't pretend that any of this is popular, or a politician wouldn't face major problems if they supported it.

For the orange theory boys in here.. does trumps character not play any part in your decision to vote for him? Like as a man, how do you respect him? I have three sons.. and there isn’t a character trait he possesses that I look at and say yeah… I want my boys to have that. Maybe I look at things different but I can’t stand men like him. Don’t even get me started on Ted Cruz’s **** ***… sorry venting just came across a FB post attacking Kamala’s character and it just made me think… ok with all her short comings she’s still a better human than trump. How can any trumper have a leg to stand on when it comes to basing your vote on their character.
