PARIS, Feb 26 (Reuters) - France's President Emmanuel Macron said on Monday there was no consensus on sending troops to Ukraine, but the subject could not be ruled out.
"There is no consensus at this stage... to send troops on the ground," Macron said after hosting some 20 countries allied to Ukraine.
"Nothing should be excluded. We will do everything that we must so that Russia does not win."
He told a Feb. 14 party meeting that they would not rubber-stamp the measure being pushed by President Joe Biden, who is expected to face Trump as the Democratic nominee.
Sikorski said he was appealing "personally to Speaker Mike Johnson: please let democracy take its course. Please let's pass this to a vote."
As speaker, Johnson decides what bills are put up for votes. Some Republicans who favor the Ukraine aid say the measure would pass the House if he allowed one.
emmanuel just talking out his ***, as usual. Empty posturing and big words to try and look strong as his main opposition, the far right party rassemblement national, is gaining more and more traction.
