There really seems to be a concerted right wing effort to get rid of black women on platforms that allow them to be vocal. They've just about nitpicked everything Whoopi has said, to now things she never said.

The attorney, Corcoran, was either in on the conspiracy to obstruct the investigation or Trump set him up and lied to his own attorney. Whatever the case was, Corcoran's signature is on the response to a subpoena for suspected remaining classified docs, where Corcoran explicitly stated that there were no classified documents left in Trump's possession. Obviously it turned out Trump was still hiding tons of classified docs so that's about as clear of an attempt to obstruct as you can get.
The Special Counsel's theory on Corcoran's role is reportedly that Corcoran wasn't in on the obstruction conspiracy, at least not initially, and was misled by Trump into signing that false statement.

Guess we'll see relatively soon what's more important to Corcoran, himself or Trump.
