Keep in mind they confirmed the documents are missing…. So he took them, they just didn’t find them when they did the search. So the idea he sold them increases in viability.

Trust if they didn’t find anything Republicans and Trump would have said so. Instead Trump pleaded the fifth because this is serious enough he had better. Also they Got back some of the documents they were able to deduce he took when he gave them back after they asked. They then lined up the raid to be when he wasn’t there so he wasn’t able to destroy evidence.
Plus the rumors that there is a belief in Trumps Circle there is a snitch and I am pretty sure someone recently reported seeing them there and that was the impetus for the raid.

If they didn’t find anything, Trump would’ve released that warrant in a heartbeat. He has a list of items they came to search for an an inventory list of what was taken. If nothing turned up, he and the GOP would be waving that warrant around doing victory laps instead of coordinating a pre-narrative that the FBI planted evidence.
His lawyers and and various close loyalists immediately started promoting a “FBI planted evidence” narrative.
What them possibly not finding certain documents implies is obstruction of justice.
The reports all suggest the FBI/DOJ knew exactly which docs Trump illegally possessed and where they were located. By acknowledging previous cooperation and a subpoena for the documents, Trump already admitted to illegally taking and possessing classified info with him after no longer being in government.
Trump also stonewalled the return requests with endless delays and dragged it out for months. Then at a later point during some degree of cooperation, DOJ must’ve believed that the classified info was too secret to let Trump’s delay stonewalling continue. Or they got reason to believe that Trump was obstructing the investigation.

These hot takes from Yesterday got to make Republicans sick. They literally set the bar as high as possible to be able to say Biden was ******* up, and Trump still did arguably the worst scenario possible….. and knowing Trump worse.
No one thought it was nuclear because that would be outright treason. Yet here we are Trump finding new ways to lessen all of our existences and put our lives at risk yet again!

You can’t make an antagonist character as ridiculous as Trump up in fiction because a hero would have snapped his neck by now. James Bond would have of killed him on his ranch and ****ed Jared Kushner at this point. Yet we have to wait and see if this ************ is or isn’t the Republican nominee in 2024.

Actually that’s not true. Examples of the codes would allow for cyphers to be built that could be used to interrupt any nuclear response that the US made.
Let’s say there was a reason to use Nukes. A cypher code could be used to confuse the response, and basically leave America unable to respond. It would be a gamble but it would also be enough to wipe us off the map as nukes aren’t sent because they received a fake but realistic code.
Flipside we could get into mutual self destruction being worse than one side losing, but **** I don’t want to be nuked.

Tho I’m sure the below groudn stuff is mostly known by Russia. Satellite surveillance has been going on for almost a century now. Now the location of our nuclear subs, that puts people at risk.

if they didn't find anything, that means we're all ******. that's the worst case scenario for Trump, which means he didn't just steal documents, he also gave them away to our enemies, so he committed high treason, which then also means the security of this country is now in jeopardy.
it's still sinking in how insane this all is. this is the absurd plotline to every other James Bond and Ethan Hunt movie but somehow trump made it realistic. As much as I despise him, part of me hopes this was all just a misunderstanding.
