This whole thing might be the dumbest thing Trump has ever done. When he was president, he could’ve declassified whatever classified records he ended up stealing afterwards.
He also signed the law that increased criminal penalties for theft of government documents.

And since Trump is the kind of idiot who would obstruct an investigation even if he’s innocent, I’d be shocked if obstruction isn’t amongst the crimes under investigation

My money's on Ivanka
yeah I feel like the media and therefore History Books would be kind to the Strong Blonde Woman who broke her generational curse and turned her back on the most corrupt clan in America's history and blah blah tell all book speaking engagements new purse line.

I like Melania as a candidate, she despises guy.

this mf finally tripping up on a law he personally strengthened as President after deserving to be in a concrete cage before any of us were born would be the only ending hilarious enough for the funniest world leader to ever do it.

I usually hate this kind of speculation, but I’m giddy.

Second signatory on request to unseal seems to indicate these are matters of international concern…

Not necessarily. NatSec and Counterintel would be standard I think. NatSec would be involved due to classified documents and Counterintel would have a stake due to the potential of unauthorized persons accessing and/or sharing the classified information. The reports suggest that at least some of the documents were not securely stashed by any means and DOJ specifically asked to at least install a padlock on a storage unit containing such documents while there was still some degree of cooperation between Trump's lawyers and the DOJ.
The latest news from today also suggests that some of the documents are of extremely high level classification so I would assume part of it probably concerns international matters. Could also just be things like documents about the government's own cyber/military capabilities etc.

Something like a foreign leader's jogging routine could be classified information, it could also be descriptions of the US' most advanced hacking/spying tools, very important confidential human sources, military intelligence, ...
