2 is just that age when they start realizing they can't mess with everything in the crib. They hate hearing that they can't touch certain things or to leave certain areas alone. My daughter peaked at her whining when she was 2.5.....now she's 3 and everything is smooth sailing

I hear you guys on the whole terrible 2's phase

It's definitely a hurdle you have to cross at that age unfortunately. My son is coming up to 21 months now and is becoming a real pain int he ***** 

We have family in Europe and Asia and my wife wants to visit some relatives in Singapore this summer. He will be a nightmare on a long flight, whereas my 4 year old daughter will be relatively really well behaved!

I appreciate this thread. Hats off to all the dads holding their own and making a positive impact in their children's lives.  My husband isn't on NT, but he's got a difficult task to be a dad that loves and serves his family in this society. I salute yall.

NEVER buy ahead of time. Get them as you need. These bastards grow like weeds. Last thing you need is a bunch of size 1's when he need 2's all of a sudden.

thanx so i brought 1 - 82count newborn size , 1 newborn outfit , 3in1  tub so far im try to take it slow but i just hate buying everything at once

That's how their sizes work. Then it's 3-8 and 18-24 months till it hits T sizes. 2T, 3T, ect

Whenever u wanna buy diapers early either put money up to the side or go get a gift card to said store. Worse thing u can do is buy too many of 1 size they grow out of em too quick

Do yall let your kids play w ur phones?

My daughter 10 months and she loves playing w my phone.  She just seems so intrigued by the touch screen.

She even (mistakenly) took selfies last week.  It keeps her occupied, swiping and touching it.  Lost a cpl apps tho lol

everyone has different views on electronic media and parenting. my son just made 2 and he has some limited exposure to the phone and ipad. he knows how to scroll through pics and play vids and will open up garageband and "play" guitar but my wife and i discourage it. we try and get him out of the house to the park, beach, zoo, aquarium etc. as much as possible and engage him in dialogue about what he experiences. my son watches zero TV/DVDs and i'm not sure when we will start.

seen this 3 year old kid go ballistic in a restaurant when the parents took his ipad and told him to eat his dinner. my wife and i looked at each other with the

Exactly what I'm afriad of. That's how my cousins daughter is that sad part is he thinks its "cute" letting her pretty much do whatever she wants

But the diapers are you need them. And newborn ones will go fast. That's why they come in packs of 200.

My son learned so much from his tablet its scary. When he was 2 we were watching TV and somehow a globe was on TV he said wow daddy that's the earth, now where's the moon? I was so confused like how u know what the earth is I never taught u that. One of his books on his tablets is about space. We use it for ABCs, counting, colors, and various other learning tools.

When it comes to electronics I DO NOT let the little guy play with them. He's only 3 so there's a lot more to go but I'd rather he not.

Slightly off topic, I've slowly taken away all his toys and substituted them with sports equipment

Its a mixed bag to me.  One part is I dont want them on the electronics too much I get that, but the other side of it is, how is it different from any other toy?

She has a steering wheel thing and some elephant thing that lights up and plays music, engages her and maybe learn from it.

She has those cardboard books, I read to her every once in awhile, and she is engaged, looking at pictures and turning the page.

Then she has my phone, and the ipad has the kiddie apps she loves.  She gets engaged in the games and songs and videos, and works on her lil motor skills lol

So to me its no different from anything else she plays with.  She would play with all of them the same amount of time, if she wants the phone, a lot of the time its because me or her mother might be on it and she wants in
