These would been dope as a J. R. with a 42 and blue buckle for shoe strap.
 
Like the teals, the colored strap throws these off.

It’s the big blue spot/patch from the strap on the medial part of each shoe that kills it!

Driving through downtown Seattle as a kid in the 90s, seeing huge Nike Griffey billboards/posters or driving by Niketown, reminds me how much the Kid and his line meant to me growing up. As uncomfortable as these MFs are, I'm glad they're continuing to pump them out to keep his stuff alive.

My favorite was the giant Nike ad across the street from Pike Place Market that had the tick marks for each home run he hit through the season.
