Obvs it's 50 with an operational pump, while the rest... the GR's... will be pumpless!

 Waiting…….

People have got to stop with this Emeralds limited to 50/some models won't have a functional pump nonsense. There is A version overseas that was limited to 50, but they will definitely see a much wider release in April.

Peace,
J

This release has been pushed back to April? No October release?

Since I have the 2012 Air Force 180 in Emerald,

I Think it makes more sense to get the Volt Colorway right?

I still wear my Emerald 180s but the Command Forces must be had. Probably won't look much at my 180s again after that tbh.

Just for the record, I was being sarcastic when I made that comment.

I remember these back when I was a kid. Not sure I can pull these off now that Im an adult. In any event anyone know why Nike doesn't make more sneakers with the pump technology? Low tops, trainers, etc.?

I dont remember pump tech being big outside of Bball with Nike, but Reebok really ran with it across their different lines. Plus people were over-pumping and popping them things left and right, then returning them for a voucher. Which was probably the downfall...

I dont think it was ever big with nike which is why there was only two shoes with pump tech

Reebok on the other hand is a different story

Trying to stick a fork in these.... but flight club keeps saying gateway error when I try to check out.

Yep, technically 3...

Interesting how Reebok basically used the same bladder-setup for the SXT Cross Training Pump & the Court Victory tennis pump.  Does the Omni Pump have a heel/Achilles bladder?

man those 180s with the pump are super sick, id get those emeralds before getting the command emeralds but the neon commands are super sick and nostalgic. great release and i hope everything goes smoothly!

Those 180's really should've been a game changer for shoes with pumps. To be able to differentiate how much air pumps to the ankle vs how much goes to the tongue? Should've been huge, and the only thing I can think of that killed it was that Nike decided to scrap pump production altogether.

Peace,
J

The price is what killed the pump. If I remember correctly, the Air Pressure was retailing around what today would be 300. That's an amount people were not willing to spend back then.

The Pressure, absolutely. But the Command and 180 came out years later, and were back down to semi-normal for high end performance. Jordans were at $125 and $130-$135 when the other Pumps came out. I recall the Commands being $135 to the Jordan VI's $125 and the $180's being $140 to the Jordan VII's $130 or $135 (there was a price bump on the playoff and Olympic pairs). Still expensive, but not terribly out of line with the other big name stuff at that time.

Peace,
J
