NBA star Deron Williams has agreed terms with Turkish club Besiktas in principle.

Williams will sign a contract with Besiktas that will allow him to return to NBA as soon as the lockout ends. Nevertheless it is the greatest summer transfer by a European club, so far.

Williams who was traded to New Jersey Nets earlier this season after a fall out with the former team coach Jerry Sloan would be receiving $16.000.000 this year, but obviously doesn't want to stay inactive during the lockout.

The 27 year old will reportedly receive $200.000 per month.

Club's coach Ergin Ataman has confirmed the move and stated that the club is also very close to Zaza Pachulia, as well.

Yup, Still waiting for real confirmation from DWill or Nets (Neither have said anything and the Nets I think can not even comment due to lockout).

Makes things interesting on all ends. He did say that he would go to play overseas if a lockout happened while in Utah and NJ. I just want it from his agent before I start my "Dude better not get hurt if we do have an NBA season" rants. lol. More power to him. Same team that signed Iverson.

CP- That is my only issue. I am all for Deron going. Heck, it helps the Nets with their stupid Global Marketing garbage they are trying to do and their "We want to be the World's team" non-sense.

But if he is not fully healed or gets hurt over there, it not only effects my team, but his future as well. I am sure there is an opt out clause if there is a season/Shorten Season. He will also be making pocket change for a man of his stature and contract in the NBA.

He made it known he was considering it. Really can't say anything else. Some of these guys actually do love playing the game. DWill is not one of those guys that NEEDS the money like a Sonny Weems IMO.

This he only thing.

But honestly if they really wanted to flex their muscles all of the STARS of the game would dot he same and follow suit.  The LeBrons, Kobes, Wades, KD's etc would all go find a Euro sponsor with an out clause should they choose to activate it.
