Before we start talking about more teams, why cant they just move the Clippers? They dont need two teams, hell New York City doesnt need two teams but we're like 15 years away from that ever changing.

that would been an easy Offensive Foul call today
hell you saying, thats a tech 1 possibly tech 2 with a game suspension, followed by blogs/threads/twitter saying he is the dirtiest player of all time. Ppl would be wishing his first born was trapped in the garage in a house fire... Skip and screamin a smith would go on a hour rant using every 5 and 6 syllable word in the english dictionary about how foul and unwarrant that play was.

That is definitely false. So you're telling me Kobe fans didn't hate on AI, Vince, Wade, Paul Pierce, Bron, and I know I'm forgetting about some others?

Your last sentence is definitely not true. There were a ton of AI fans, Vince fans, etc that were Kobe haters too. Again, like I said NUMEROUS times on here, whenever there were hate threads about AI, Vince, Tmac, Wade,Bron, etc, they were created the majority of, if not all, the time by Kobe fans. Let me know how often you remember seeing a Tmac hate thread created by an AI fan or a Wade hate thread created by a Tmac fan?

I'm SURE you guys have to remember the hate on Wade for no reason other than the fact that he got Shaq a ring without Kobe. Where you think the name D Whistle came from on here? It damn sure wasn't a Tmac, Lebron, AI or Vince fan.

Before you Kobe fans come with some stupid BS about everyone hates the "best" or whatever. I grew up watching Jordan, Penny, Grant Hill, etc and there was never no riff like there is now between Jordan fans and the Penny and Grant Hill fans. Jordan fans loved Penny and Grant Hill too.
for most part late 90's early mid 2000's ai was easily more popular then kobe...and to an extent so was tmac at least globally. Like i said this bandwagon of kobe fans didnt get full untill ai fell off, tmac same thing...and the introduction of lebron.

Not saying he wasnt popular, but hell if you look at all star votes, jersey sales etc... kobe wasnt even the most popular on his own team, let alone the nba.

Ppl forget especially with iverson how popular he was as a player. From the dedicated fan sites, the emulation of his game on the street courts, down to his sig crownrows and braids. Hell even at one point his shoes were up there in terms of popularity.

And your right...outside of indiana and knicks fans...werent to many ppl who hated mj. Althought there wasnt 24/7 monitoring of his life, actions etc... like there is now with players...via internet. But no one was on some oh if you like shaq you gotta hate akeem, or if you like ewing, you cant be a fan of the admiral. Ill admit there always was the boston/lakers/pistons to some extent fan rivalry. But even then aint like a boston fan said bird is the greatest and well magic sucks.... danny ainge is a point god and zeke is a loser..... No one wished death on players, nor did they make up lame excuses to hate the players, nor associate themselves with players as if they have a friendship, or at the very least an association with said players.
Dudes gave congrats to other teams, was unbias when their team played. And enjoyed a good game for the simple fact the enjoyed said sport.

You didnt have cats saying well oh this guy put up 30/15/10, but since he cheated on his wife he sucks and imma hate him for it, and he isnt fit to be an allstar. You didnt have guys saying well had 10 str8 40+ pt games, but i dont like his shoe line so he is grabage. Or the oh this guy had one good game against my rival team, and then proceeds to deem said player in discussion for h.o.f. Ala john starks great series against the bulls.

For as much as knicks fans wanted to beat the bulls...cant recall them burning mj's jersey. Now like ive stated you dont have fans of bball and the nba, you basically have jock riders, and because of the first takes, the blogs, twitter etc...they just like or dislike the drama/gossip assocaited with a player and or team.

Dudes nowadays in most part, especially young cats...sports is there version of reality tv,soap operas, tmz etc... They watch to see the drama, to hate and dislike players. They are influenced by social media and others what they should and who they should not cheer for and appreciate. And then they try to quantify and appear to be knowledgeble about the sport, by doing a quick wiki search, or watch some highlighted game, or highlight reel of a player to seem as if they are knowledgeble about said sport/and or player.

Not taking into account other factors that determine the game(s) or sport or the individual players. Ala kobe is good...cause i wiki his stats and they look good, i watch a 20 minute mixtape on youtube, and i caught a few games....have cats thinking they damn red auerbach, hubie brown ah something.

I owe you a beer

Move them where?

They are doing good overthere, why would you change that?

LOL what did you want him to improve?
his defense for one...yeah he lead the league a few years in steals...but least be honest. He use to shoot the gap alot, gamble, and play passing lanes. That or would catch individuals especially big men on the blindside. his one on one defense def could use improvement.

his shot selection. he aint kobe, and have the luxury of having a big man to clean up his arrid mistakes. Often times he wouldnt even let a play develop, he would just see daylight and shoot. I could see if he was a great perimeter shooter, but is was moderate at best. also he would do alot of idle dribble ala carmelo. which in many cases leave him to shoot a desperation shot, or play hot potato on offense, and leave a player like a mckie/snow with a few seconds to make something happen.

ball and clock management.

also basic fundamentals that will work regardless of decline in his quickness and speed ala like a andre miller. A consistant midrange jumper, ability to get in the lane without putting his body on the line like dwade does. Dude took too much punishment from penetrating. he shouldve learned to be more elusive in the paint and get shots around defenders, instead of going str8 up against/into defenders.

He could while not bad at it, improve his passing.

as of late..... it be nice if of course seatle, but also a bball town in st louis had a team as well. I know alot of ppl say vegas should have some sort of pro team, but honestly with sin city, the night life, the gambling etc... i dont know how well that would work for the city, the patrons, hell the professional athletes.

The Bill Simmons piece on Duncan :hat

Nothing but respect for Timmy

LA is pretty big, but its not like theyre even remotely seperate from each other, nor is it a situation where the fanbases are split down the middle between parts of the city like the Warriors are, they share the same building. One building doenst need two teams, no way anyone can justify that with me. The Nets and Knicks are within traveling distance from each other. If it was upstate NY to NYC sure, but Manhattan to Brooklyn? Any NY resident can make that trip. Those 4 teams are entirely too close to their respective counterpart.

You need to think money bruh. Learn it then you'll understand why some areas have two teams.

To add some variety to the league

Yeah but why would you change something that's working?

City is big enough and fans show up every game.

I understand the variety, but I don't think 4 teams in 2 cities is bad as far as variety in the league. Well maybe it's just because the 4 teams are "good" that we get this lack of variety in the league.

I understand the monetary reasons behind it very well. Theres plenty of cities where teams can go to and see similar revenue in my opinion, basically any of the top 35 largest cities that dont have a team, provided that the team is good that is.

Clippers "Fans" werent showing up until the team got good though. They could easily move that team somewhere else where the fans would go even if the team sucks. I honestly believe that if the Thunder start to suck, people will still go.

But I do see your point

well to be fair clippers just got poppin as of late....and you could make a argument for/against the warriors. I think someone said vancover...but lol we saw what happen. I would hope they would give some lesser known cities/states some teams. Know one ever thought okc would end up the way it did. It took a natural disaster for the league to find out hey whattayaknow... o.k. can draw fans and can be a popular place to host the nba.

Hell for all we know the same could happen in a kentucky...happen to work in memphis, a return to kansas, or perhaps connecticut. I mean it may sound farfetched but at the time so did taking the supersonics and moving them to okc.

Goodnight Memphis. Great effort put up throughout the series though. Spurs big three has been great. Bring dem' brooms out y'all.

No the only ones you could possibly say that Kobe fans have hated on was Lebron and T-Mac.

All those other guys were never revelant for a long enough period to be hated on. They were just flavors of the month, that some Kobe haters wanted to declare King

I'll agree with this for the most part but I think you can throw Wade in there too. Wade only stopped getting hated on when Bron came to the Heat so it's like the haters had to choose the lesser of the two evils.

Iverson was the most popular player in the league from 99-03, not no damn flavor of the month

Word, he was popular amongst the younger genration, and I know I wasnt in the 6th grade concerned with going on the computer to vote for all star game participants.

Great start to the game so far. The Zach Randolph numbers dont even begin to describe the sturggle that hes going through. I'm content with Prince shooting all those jumpers too.

I HATE this new Jordan commercial with Russell Westbrook.... Its complete trash, and its 90% because of the song thats in it.
