OFFICIAL LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS 2024-2025 SEASON THREAD

All but guarantee that Game 1 (as long as we win tomorrow) will be Sunday, 7:30 P.M. at STAPLES.

I'm in for one last ride. Can't be any worse than the last two years.

Bro on God I been saying this verbatim almost since game 5 OKC 2014. And they've topped themselves every time. Clearly they're going to go up 2-0 or 3-0 on the Jazz and / or GSW and somehow, someway still blow it.

This is partly why I say if you're going to say Westbrook is the MVP because of how bad the thunder are and how he does everything for him yadayadayada, then my that logic Chris Paul is the MVP of the NBA.

Well, if they do, at least this time we'll be prepared for it, even expecting it.

My post-season expectations are still pretty measured at this point because I'm not super impressed by the recent success the team is having. We've benefitted from a very favorable schedule. Played a lot ****** teams and good teams that didn't have as much to play for as us.

I think we should beat Utah but would not be shocked in the slightest if we don't.

Looking at Standings.....the 3 seed was REALLY attainable :{.

But extended injuries to two of your best players....Especially Cp3 who the team HEAVILY relies on....and correlates to winning is devastating.

Take a week off of Cp3 and Blakes injuries....the Clips are playing an OKC team they dominated in the regular season....and a San Antonio team that's beatable.

Unluckiest team I've ever rooted for man :lol.

Bro if CP and Blake both just play 72ish amount of games this year they're a team 57 wins.

The rockets were the healthiest team in the league this year and they're currently at 54

**** is wild. The clippers are at a 57 win pace with cp on the floor this year. Unbelievable

BUT

Even with injuries we did this to ourselves. Even if we include injuries, the two Indiana games, the bkn game where we led by 19 in the 4th, the philly game where we were up 19 in the 2nd half and they were without embiid(!!), the Dallas game last week and the infamous Sacramento game a couple weeks back, the other Dallas game where we collapsed and HB hit the weak game winner,

These games were in the bag man. That puts us at 58 games WITH injuries provided we win Wednesday

58 with ease bruh.

Hell just turn the philly game bkn game the Dallas and Sacramento game were at 54 right now going into tomorrow. WITH EASE. Despite our injuries this year, our inability to close and win games that we easily should have did us in

Oh well **** it. Free smoke. Bring on Utah

Like you gotta have championship level focus man,

Like if you just add the philly game, sac game, the Dallas game from two weeks ago, the bkn game, were at 54 going into tomorrow

Clips shouldn't just jump to GSW in the 2nd round.

But i'm a fan, so I can

I think GSW has beaten us like 11 straight but no one pays attention to how injured we've been against them. 3 of the 4 games this year CP didn't play, we played one game against them this year without BOTH blake and CP, and dating back to 2014-2015 we've played numerous games against them where we weren't at full health.

Granted it probably won't make a difference but it'd be nice to play them for an extended period of time fully healthy. Two of the last three games in which we played the warriors healthy we had 10 pt leads on them in the 4th quarter. You have to go back to the beginning of last season for those two games im referring to but the point still stands

Honestly, I'm not really thinking about what might have been if we would have pulled out a few more winnable games instead of blowing them. (And you could say a couple of those were offset by us winning games we really should have, like @ Chicago). IMO, the best we could have done is 3, so most likely still HCA in just one series. Plus, I don't think OKC would have been much easier to get past than the Jazz will be. The biggest benefit to 3 would be avoiding GSW in round 2, which is pretty huge, but it's not like SAS is a pushover.

It is what it is.

Here we go. Brb going to see if my keys to heartbreak hotel still work. I'm a masochist man. Clipside though.

Yep, what a long, strange trip it's been.

At least none of our stars broke a hand on an equipment manager's face this season...

Playoffs need to start man.

The basketball nerd in me is starting to unrealistically contemplate how we can handle the jazz in 5, and the dubs in 6 in route to winning it all.

I need help

Doing some reviewing of the season, and the Clippers really should have been at the top of the league this year man.

They started the season 14-2. They ended the season 11-2. They have a top 5 offense. My favorite takeaway, was that Out of the western conference playoff teams, only the clippers, spurs, and warriors posted winning records against teams .500 or better this season. The Clippers were 26-18, which is really good.

So what brought them down this season to 'only' 51 wins and the 4 seed? To me a lack of concentration or focus. Out of the 8 teams in the playoffs out west, they had by far the most losses to teams below .500. The Clippers lost 13 games this year to teams under .500. For some perspective, the warriors and rockets lost 4, and the spurs and jazz lost 6. The nuggets who didn't even make the playoffs, lost 13.

Considering the fact that the Clips lost 13 games to teams under .500 and STILL won 51 games and have the 5th best record in the league this year is either pretty impressive or frustrating depending on how you look at it.

I went through the entire schedule at work today, game-by-game. We should have been at around 58. It's cool, tho.

I'm ready for some postseason good luck for once. Let our opponents get bad calls, tweak hammy's, break fingers, tear ligaments. Why not?

Because it's the Clippers, they could absolutely lose and i'm not the biggest fan of using history as a barometer but man....
Clippers are 18-3 vs Jazz in the CP3 era and won the season series 3-1 by 13 points+ per game.
One of those 3 wins came this season, when they made an insane 11 straight 3's...and still only won by 6. Yikes.

Bball Gods owe us. See you on Fig in a couple months.

^^^ That's cool. Though I have this weird feeling it may contribute in some way to Blake going elsewhere. But I guess a lot is going to depend on what happens in the Playoffs.

Anyway, HAPPY FIRST DAY OF THE NBA PLAYOFFS!!!! :Nthat

Let's get it ClipperNation.

I'd disagree on the premise that as with Paul, it's going to be hard for Blake to turn down the amount of money Clips will be throwing at him. Hope they both come back.

Regardless, It's the playoffs. It's time for a miraculous run. Like my man Erupt say, the bball gods owe us one. #ParadeOnFig.
