OFFICIAL LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS 2024-2025 SEASON THREAD

I felt like Beverly alone was more fired up than the 5 Clippers on the floor last night, dude was the shortest guy on the floor and was snatching up rebounds off of Blakes hands. He almost out-rebounded both Deandre and Blake, 12 to 13.

I don't know, maybe it's just me but even though Blake is averaging 9rpg and DJ at 14rpg, they never really looked overly dominant on rebounds.

Honestly am not going to be bothered if this group breaks up in the Summer. I mean, I don't want to see either CP or Blake (and definitely not both) walk for nothing, but some kind of shake up is in order. I think this core group has peaked.

I'd shop DJ in the Summer and try to flip into the dynamic wing player we've been looking for all these years. I think we'd be better off with an all-star caliber 3 and a serviceable center than the other way around.

Anyway, I'm just kind of ready for the team to get a new look.

If Memphis would go on a damn win streak.....

That 6th seed is STILL in play.

I'm fully confident the clips can beat the rockets and Spurs.

^^^ ... and with Fat Pockets Uncle Steve running things now, I'm not worried about going through another real long period of perennially sucking.

I hope clippers can still be in that 4-5 seed, I think the warriors will fall to 2nd. Did anyone else want the clippers to sign Matt Barnes? I hate that the warriors signed him.

^^^ I was hoping they'd sign Barnes and the fact that he went with the Dubs makes me ill.

Sooooo I was a little faded last night and decided to place a bet on you guys against the bucks tonight. Please tell me all of your main guys are all playing tonight

As far as I know, everyone should be good to go. Good luck.

Good grief. Getting washed by the Bucks. Out D is non-existent right now.

I'm so over J.J. Redick man

I think really does get the most out of his personal assets. But he's not big for his position, not athletic and not super skilled outside of shooting. So, there's kind of a low ceiling for how good he can actually be.

Looking like a first round exit these days.

Yep.

Man, that 1st two weeks of the season was such a tease. We had "it" for that period, but lost it and it really doesn't look like it's coming back. Same team we've been. Rinse, repeat.

Honestly, what he does well is valuable and while he's not a stout individual defender he's mostly in the right spot

It's the emphasis that the Clippers place on JJ offensively that i'm over.

Like any time he's in the game all of our sets turn into DHO w/him and Blake or Floppy's that turn into DHO's with Him and Blake or Him and DeAndre. It just takes so much time off the shot clock to see him run around pindowns and single/doubles only to catch the ball and having to play DHO with Blake, which brings blake away from the basket.

Ultimately, I'm tired of seeing us bend our offense for him man, he's way too important. Less JJ emphasis and more emphasis on Blake on the block / in the post.

Just watch LAC, and watch how, basically whenever JJ is in the game our entire offense is predicated on his movement and he's not close to being good enough for that responsibility.

Same thing with Blake and CP. Too many Pick and pops man.

Blake is the best most talented player on this team.

Just throw the ball to blake and play through him on the block more man.

And who should we hold responsible for this? Sounds like maybe a coaching issue. I really feel like Doc doesn't understand how to best use his own personnel. He sees what he wants to see and not what's really there. He wants JJ to be Ray Allen, but he's not.

If anyone knows me they know that I hate going w/ the coaching honestly, because of there's just so many variables that we as fans don't know as far as what Doc is actually doing, saying, or implementing w/ the team.

But what I hope isn't happening, and appears mayyyy be happening, is that doc may be losing the team right now.

^^^ I'm with you, man. I don't like to put it on the coaching either. But I'm seeing a lot of system/philosophy problems with this team that I can't ignore.
