**Official Lil Wayne Thread ** **No Ceilings 2 drops Thanksgiving**

No ceilings gotta be the most overrated mix tape in the last 5 years. I don't get it. "All over this ice cream beat like srinkles?" That's was hot? Son been done when the other punchline dudes died. Original music>> random corny lines over other peoples beats
I tried to revisit it like 2 years ago and couldn't even finish it.

Same style as C4 and the other garbage projects he's put out since then.

Its like people miss when Wayne was a good rapper so much, the first thing he put out that wasn't terrible or laugh worthy, they label it classic and call it great. ill steelo ill steelo once I hit a certain age those I'm so___ I ____ lines for a whole 4 minutes got old.

IMO it's not ALWAYS about the technical lyricism...we have plenty of those out there...it's a mix of things, delivery, flow, wordplay (undeniably Wayne has it, sometimes lame), swagger, etc

I'm all for fun party music. But he literally says a bunch of 4th grade bars. Its not that its sack its that he thinks it nice that kills me. Done giving son a pass cuz his "flow", he needs to be cooking up original tracks.

the flow was impeccable in those songs ......i say ti hold ya head , and mack hold ya head ....wish i could but i cant say some otha names cuz of the feds

im all over this ice cream beat like spranklessss

i mean my dude was talking about "pistol on my hip , tomb raider"

I can't tell if this was post was sarcastic...

I highly dislike when artists/rappers make sequels to a project years later...especially when there were other projects in between...just using the name to build buzz...MMLP2, BP3, Docu 2, D4/D5 (after other projects dropped). You could name it anything, listeners just want good music, no need to rekindle an era

out of all of those albums you named, Doc 2 might be one of the best sequesl in quite some time.

^ "all over this ice cream beat like sprinkles" are standouts u quoting, might as well go quote soulja boy.

No Ceilings is definitely overrated.
Considering he had already fell off substantially
That was classic :lol
That run this town
And throw it in that remix
And banned from tv freestyles made me think dude still had that hunger in him :{
Ain't had a hot tape since

Since 2010, Soulja Boy has made better music than Wa_n_, even while blatantly high-jacking styles. That's how bad it's been for Wa_n_.

Peep Game Peep Game why do u always take the y & e outta Wayne name lmaooo

And No Ceilings was NOT a classic. The expectations for dude were so low by then that ppl basically forced themselves into believing it was a classic just cause it wasnt trash :{ :lol

I guess Sorry For Wait was a classic too huh? :rolleyes

The expectations was low for the first No Ceilings? Hell nah lol. Wayne was the hottest dude in the game at that time. It wasn't a classic but it was great mixtape.

Nah expectations were low. He had that mainstream fan base but most regular rap fans realized he was garbage and done. Everything he had done up to that was really bad. So since that wasn't flat out garbage people like to force themselves into thinking it was great. It wasn't terrible but wasn't good at all. Look at all the lines dudes are quoting for christ sakes and him actually spitting it with confidence thinking its nice it was makes it worse.

****** stop wanting to hear I'm so ___ I'm ___ bars after 18.

All FACTS. This is the point where artists realize their diehard fans are actually stans and they can just drop whatever and they'll eat it up.

Nah, that ain't what I seen. No Ceilings was being played everywhere. From DC, Baltimore, to the nicest communities in Maryland. Wayne was still that guy.

Just because they played don't mean it was good. It was the best he sounded in years and still was considerably bad. Like dude said people were so happy to not see him sounding terrible they started throwing around the classic word. If C1 and c2 are classics how do u say this is in the same breath? Dudes wanted him to be the best rapper that bad.

No Ceilings being considered a classic makes me feel like that word is just thrown around these days :{

The song 'Single' is a classic...Lil Wayne has classic individual songs, a lot of them too
